Thematic Photographic # 189 Branded

THEMATIC PHOTOGRAPHIC

BRANDED

These simple things have been branded into our deepest thoughts, just by the sight of their logo, or building.

Sure, we only know this (photo below) mostly from our school days.... aren't we the lucky ones.

1861- 1865 War- goes without explanation.

"War is cruelty. There is no use trying to reform it. The crueler is it, the sooner it will be over." - Said, Union General William T. Sherman shortly before beginning his brutal- march to the sea.

Attractive settings, fair prices and plenty of butter-in-our-recipes.  The outsides may change but the color theme is constant.   Do you know what this fast-food place is called?

Skillful and competent let us do your taxes for you!
These random people are famous in Minnesota.  Do you have them where you live as well?

Gasoline makes the world go around and around.

If you stroll along the avenues, or walk along our rivers or lakes you can catch branded ideas.  Some new some old, but all sayings people will forever keep alive through their branding.

Oh yeah, just an entertaining bit of being "branded" watch this video. It was live, from Saint Paul, Mn.
Branding, for an excellent idea.

With all that branding going on in our world, I don't imagine we could ever cover every bit of here on Carmi's Thematic Photographic, but it's easy enough to do.  You know you want to share some of it too, so go here

Love how the graffiti vandal person cannot spell.

Really, though, I like how the blue sky matches the blue awnings in the other picture. :)

Hi there, finally made it over for a visit. The theme is fantastic, it brings such an awareness to our branded world we live in! We have a place where we can get out taxes done for a cheaper rate but it's no this one! Great post, thanks for the awareness and this is something which sure doesn't happen in the desert!

I like the idea of Photographing aspects of brands- I didn't recognise some of what you showed as they are totally unfamiliar in England. That is one of the things that creates a sense of place - apparently insignificant cbinations of colours and shapes that suggest so much and adds a richness to daily life.

I'm sorty I haven't been commenting as much as usual
Mmy phone dorsnt interface well with blogger - it won't even allow me to scroll down my blog feed list
And I am away fromy my computer.

No I've never seen that fast food place before but, it looks good. LOL! Yes I see those statue of liberty people on the streets of my neighborhood too.

I like the quote, "power to the people!" : )

We have those sidewalk tax folks here in Portland, too! Great photos.

Great fun. Although I am not sure that I would ensure my taxes to a chap with spikes sticking out of his head.

That same Statue of Liberty walking in here in La Crescent, across the river in La Crosse, WI and we have seen him/her relatives through the south in Feb, so it is a popular costume from taxes to real estate to loan sharks!

Yep, we have those liberty tax people here too. You know you've hit bottom when the only job you can get is playing the Statue of Liberty in front of a tax office...
