Thematic Photographic 191 Single people

Thematic Photographic

Carmi, from Thematic Photographic has called for

"Single people" as our theme for this week!

My first single people selection: is a whole bunch of "single people" enjoying the good (single) life at Anime Detour 2012.

If someone asks, "Why are you still single?" Answer, "I'm in a long distance relationship and my soul mate lives in the future."

Which person are you?

The kind of person who spends more time absorbed in things,
rather than paying attention to your surroundings?

Or do you stay awake for life?

It's the unpleasant things in life
that open your eyes to
the good things
you weren't paying attention to before.

Surely you know this single famous face right?

But what's on his mind?
"I don't know..... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking .....don't they?"

Street lamp, oh lovely, lonely street lamp
out along the Thames
I'm searching for a perfect picture moment
but
by happenstance

you enter,
 lost in heavy thought
walking a steady pace
as if you might miss the train
 at any moment
Oh silly Mr. Stranger walking through
 my picture
why such a scornful look?

On the brighter side of life......

Flowers are such happy things!
Let me take a deep breath -
Earth laughs in flowers - Emerson

"Really, I'm so happy
she said
Yes!"

One lake, so many paths.
Single people out doing single things.  Sunning, lost in thought and exercising along Lake Michigan.

Maybe you have a single people photo to share?

Bring your photos here

Those are great single people shots! I like the last one best - the runner is obviously having a breather or a stretch, but the man looks so lonely. And its a nice day - why the coat??

I like the one of the random guy walking beside the Thames.

Gilly, I agree, because it was really quite warm out! Perhaps he was planinng to return home after dark when it would be cooler! He's the kind of person you just want to give a big hug to right!

Lisa, what ever his story, he was totally absorbed in it!

Karen I LOVE that line about the soul mate in the future... I've used it before! I love the way you've shown single, great shots and excellent way to depict the single life, one which sure can be lonely if one allows it to be. Cheers, have a great day!

a great bunch of singles!

i notice what's around...but only when i'm outside...in nature, i see all the 'little things'...but i'm NOT very observant when it comes to other stuff...like people's new hair-do, or the new furniture...things like that!

Great photos Karen.

I've always thought that people who videotape everything are missing out on real life.

I laughed out loud at the shot of the guy lying in the grass. Sometimes after a particularly hard run or ride, I'll collapse just like that into my front lawn. I love the feeling of just lying there, looking up.

Awesome series, as always. Looks like the world is full of delightfully active single people. Coolness!
