Saturday Centus - A Picture Prompt

SATURDAY CENTUS

Jenny, labels this "Dog days of summer" but reading between the lines I know she's looking for something to knock us all off our butts with honest to goodness deep belly laughing....so here goes!

JUST CHILLIN'

Once upon a dog’s life in San Francisco
There was a dog named Roscoe
Whose birth was quite a fiasco.

While his master shopped at Shopko
His three legged mommy gave birth
To eight little rascals -

Only one named Roscoe.
The others were, Alfresco, Bucko, Draco,
Franco, Jellicoe, Pinko and Socko.

The master preferred owning a gecko
And anything else had to go -
So he called Petco.

Got them ready except, where’s Roscoe?
Of course his paw was in another fiasco -
Roscoe slid into spilled-ice, like a home-run rascal.
Causing Master McCaskill to miss his favorite musical.

Jenny, from "Off on my tangent blog" has offered this darling dog as our prompt this week.  It must be a poem that rhymes, 100 words and no other photos this week!  If you want to view more

First, the picture alone made me laugh. Then I read your poem. Awesome, made me laugh again. Love it.

Nicely done. Now I assume you were creating names to fit the poem, but I actually had a dog named Pinko.

I'm reading in my newspaper that there's a heatwave going on in the US. So the photo perfectly illustrates the current weather condition in America.

Wow, that is even better than the classic about the man from Nantucket!

Wow. I read this through and then I read it out loud (much to my weiner dogs confusion!)

This was a cool use of the prompt.

Pun intended.

You're a neat writer.
