Thematic Photographic - 222 - rectangular

Welcome to another

Thematic Photographic Post -
with a twist, just for this week!

Carmi announced "Rectangular" as our theme, and my selections will be rectangular photos taken from my photo storage:   "From this blog" or my Picasa Web Album Photos only!

All rectangles have four sides

Two sides short, two sides long

The opposite sides cut the same

Why not finish with a rectangular row of pumpkins!

So what rectangles can you think of- a dollar bill, a stick of gum....just bring here to

What was that first photo? Have you ever been to Wall Drugs? Every one needs to go at least once!

Does Wall Drug sell you stones? Pumkins always make me think of pies - in a rectangular dish of course.

I'll send you a picture of my head for you to include.

(I've been called block head...must be a rectangle there.)

Sage- I must confess I am a Wall Drug junkie! I should drive around with their bumper sticker- but I haven't yet. When my children were younger, I had such a craving to really experience all of Wall Drug that I loaded up the car with my mother and my children and we rented a motel room with a super cool pool too- and spent 3 DAYS there! Yeah it has always been a must stop when ever we travel through South Dakota! Seriously!

Max- I know it feels good to put all your pumpkins in a row! :)

Sage- that first building was a part (engine house?) of an old flour mill that has fallen to decay- and is for sale- it was once a repair shop- now it's just empty and waiting!

Darlin- Wall Drug began by offering free water many, many years ago to just drum up business- which really worked. They put up these signs and other signs directing people there- a great mass of advertising to lure folks in and they still are- !

Hey, I like that reflection photo. Nice trick. And that is an interesting building. I wish you'd said where it was.

I had pumpkin pie yesterday...and the day before!

Square meals are rectangular, too...

I like how the Wall Drug sign advertising free water is surrounded by a kind of barren landscape - interesting contrast!

I also really like your pumpkin shot, very cool.

Interesting old building, and I loved the pumpkin shot! And a really nice colour, not that fluorescent orange we seem to get here!

I love that sign. So bright, obvious and surprising in the middle of that very rural landscape...
