Saturday Centus- Tuesday edition!

"Oh, - oh - oh, sweet mystery of life - at last I found you." - Young Frankenstein 1974

It Was The Summer of 1974...

It was high school life at it's best!

Can you dig it!

Fashion and music danced darkness away...

So little time to dance. "Hold on...."

Remember, Undercover?

1974 music- forever rocked!

Bob Dylan was young, and handsome.

Okay, sometimes a little scary, but what a voice!

He's Minnesota Grown!

Cars weren't as fine tuned and capable of doing everything for you.  In fact, not only did these vehicles merely drive, often they didn't even do that!

1974 Ford Pinto!

Politics back then were

Oh never mind,
let's stick with uncrushable enthusiasm
and contagious excitement.

The Bond, dreamy, handsome and handsome and dreamy all over again!

It was the summer of 1974, when life would only get better!

So Bob Dylan is a Minnesotan, I didn't know that. And you didn't like Ford? I don't know anything about the man's policies, earlier today I saw a photo of him working in the oval office in his pajamas. Bondwise I prefer Sean Connery :-).

Life was certainly better for me back in the summer of '74--even though I did not appreciate it nearly enough. Sigh.

Oh, and I just cannot abide with Saturday Centus being published on a Tuesday. For I have enough trouble determining what day it really is already! Double sigh and a groan.

Loved this. It was certainly a good year for me. I was only in my early 20's, ha!

That's such a good prompt. I remember going on a date to see Young Frankenstein. In the summer of 74, the last truly free summer as I was in the getting ready to begin my senior year...

I swear that I had a black skirt like that girl in the movie theater! I love this post, Karen. Pintos were dorky even when they were brand new.

Oh.

Wow.

This was like being in that weird car on 'Back to the Future' and going back to that EXACT time.

I was right there with you.

And, hey? Are you wearing my pants?
