Alphabe-Thursday - Celebrating the letter D

"I always like walking in the rain, so no one can see me crying." - Charles Chaplin

Alphabe-Thursday - for Jenny at "Off on my tangent" blog.  We are celebrating the letter "D"

and my post is:  DRENCHED

drenched  past participle, past tense of drench (Verb)

Verb
  1. Wet thoroughly; soak: "I fell in the stream and got drenched"; "a severe drenching would kill his uncle".
  2. Cover (something) liberally or thoroughly: "cool patios drenched in flowers"; "a sun-drenched clearing".
 3.  So much more.

Let the drenching begin.

"Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet." - Roger Miller

Yesterday, we had a scavenger hunt......

Today we have soupy treasures!

Our names even washed away.

Darn it, we left our bags outside never giving any thought to more
drenching rains.

A drenched playground on the water, sends us away.

June seems to be proving to be as drenching in rain storms as May was.

Some drenching can be very rewarding.

Drenched by Happiness!

and

Drenched by love.

Drenched and grounded Whirlybirds, aka helicopters.  You nature folks know what these really are: (when you're not dropping and spinning the seedlings)

You'll know the Water Maple tree by its familiar seedlings that fly off the tree during the spring, called whirly birds in our neighborhood.

Drenched by sadness.

Even blossoms take a beating from being drenched!

Rain drenched rhubarb never looked so shiny!

Drenched in complete excitement.

Ahhh to be drenched in love, or happiness, joy or excitement... awesome ways of being drenched! Now for this rain to let up and we can resume with summer that's wishful hoping on my part! :-) It's not that I don't like the rain, it's that it's about enough already, even the plants think so (I just had a chat with mine!)

Have a wonderful weekend Karen!

There is much emotion in this post. In fact, you ran the gamut. Water symbolizes life itself.

I'm drenched with exhaustion.

30 hr drive from El Paso to Tampa

And I had to stay up to 3AM last night to catch up with my recorded half-season of TWD. It was worth it.

;O)

drenched doesn't seem to be that happy of a word, even when you're drenched in happiness, like after winning the game! Sorry your names disappeared... {:-Deb
