Don't stare at the bear too long and miss the fence.
GOOD FENCES

Greetings from off the Wall so to speak, on this gigantic poster below in Wall, South Dakota.

This was the first time I found the Corn Palace to be slightly disappointing. Sometimes, you just need to shut everything down during remodeling stages.
The corn designers are still finishing the Corn Palace for 2014, and what they call the Next Generation. Get ready soon for the all new and improved palace, or so they hope anyway.

yes, please link this next thursday - and a new post, too, if you like! yay!
I've never been to South Dakota...until now!
Thanks, Karen.

Thunder, you'd love it there!
Thanks Tex!
I never stopped to see the Corn Palace, but seeing all that Wall had to offer is one of my most cherished memories. Alas, I wish I had made an effort to visit Sturgis and see Mount Rushmore while I was close.
Guilty. I did stare at that bear a while before seeing the fence. :)
Great variety of fences, and I always enjoy seeing bears, even the one in our front yard maple.
Love, love, love the bear fence pictures. All your pictures are great. Great variety. Thanks so much for sharing.
hooray! thanks, karen!
A great place to find fences. Great finds!
These photos bring back so many memories for me. My son took his Dad and me on that same kind of trip in S. D. some years back. Dad is gone now and your post this morning sure made me remember good times. Thanks.
themes are okay...when they don't take you away from the true delights in the world...just thinking out loud
I cheated. I did stare at the bear. I must confess. Loved all your fences.
Mine are up. I love fence day to see what others come up with Karen.
Indeed-- It is good you reminded me of the fence. i was wondering how you got so close and how you got out of that predicament!
Love the bears - and the fences that protect them. Great shots.
Bear country sounds so intriguing. You found some good fences and gates.
What a fun post. I would love to visit these places. The bear up the tree was so cute (I did see the fence in the background). I've never been to the Corn Palace but I bet it would be cool to see. That Bear Fence was really neat, I like the paw prints on it.
I guess the bear saw the fence with bear sign on it, eh? Your pictures remind me of the show, "Longmire". Where y'all live is wild country, it seems.
Peace :)
I DID have to take my eyes off the bear or I would have missed the fence. That was one incredible shot! This is a part of the country that I have never seen, and I would DEARLY love to see it. It must be just beautiful.
A very nice combination of goodies. The bear definitely catches your eye, but so does other things.
Fabulous fences! I'd love to go to SD!!!
That bear cub is lovely as are your other shots, very interesting.
Diana
