In the Dust -

Once the dust settles what remains?

Everything.

I've been-
Dreaming of the beach, every day lately.

The automobile, perhaps a danger to many.  But oh, such a temptation for the rest of us and well worth any risk, of expanding your horizons.

On going to the beach-
Keeping in mind, not just what to bring, but which folks you don't dare leave behind.

"Don't speak with your banking friends, or your Chamber of Commerce friends, but specialize on the gasoline station men, the small restaurant keeper, and farmers you meet by the wayside." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

Yes, if you do it outdoors, locked within a concrete existence or the confides of nature, treasure those moments.

Tennis anyone, maybe so.

The sound of music and that fluttery feel beneath my boots.  Yes!

"Past years seem safe ones, vanquished ones, while the future lives in a cloud, formidable from a distance." - Beryl Markham

The story of my life, for now.

The gang is still all here.  As always the sound of laughter, source of information/Intel and occasional tears, through our Sepia years, makes our days delightful.

Each of our postings, reveal one or more events at a time, gifting us with memories best remembered.  Looking back keeps yesterday, pleasantly rolling before us, one reflection at a time.

Sepia Saturday has a unique way of keeping our memories and past,
in our thoughts.

The beach in winter is nice--it isn't crowded and it's a bit cold even down here to swim (I'd have to go to FL for that) but it is a wonderful time of year to walk on the shoreline

Thank you, that's a fine tribute to Sepia Saturday. "The past is fixed on paper and slowly turning sepia" Alan Burnett

I am fortunate to live in Florida, and we did have a mild winter, but I still have fond memories of your 5th photo.

Several great shots, as always!

By the way, if you're interested, my latest post has information on how you can get a free Kindle download of a short comic book story I wrote. But you have to act before Monday, March 1st, to get it for free!

i always like the sepia pics. they just feel like the past.

pretty soon...the snow will be melting...and your trip to the beaches will bring sand and not snow under foot! :)

Very thoughtful. Certainly the majority of my old family photo collections would never have been resurrected, were it not for my discovering Sepia Saturday. It's still beach time down here in Aus and we were swimming there just yesterday, but 1 March is the beginning of Autumn and cooler days are marching on.

I so long for rain. I was at the coast this week. The weather was warm as I sat eating a shrimp sandwich and a cup of chowder in the sun. It's March! Rain for crying out loud!!!

Dearest Karen; These sepia pictures reminds me of my late father's pictures which he took and developed by himself :-)
My favorites here are ladies with tennis wear and the sweet girls dancing♡♡♡

A good chance to pause and ponder.

I was at the coast last week for a shrimp sandwich and some chowder, a beach with gulls in front of me. It was sunny and warm which it is NOT SUPPOSED TO BE IN FEBRUARY! I long for some rain. Some good storms. Instead I'm outside doing gardening that shouldn't be happening for a few months. The world is upside down and off its axis.
