Reluctant Eden

Black and White Wednesday
linking with Adrienne at My Memory Art

I had hoped to release the identities of my statues
from last week today. Thanks for all of your fascinating guesses too.
But life and the lack of sunshine ruined my trip downtown to shoot pictures.

So I hope you enjoy the beginnings
of my own little Eden assembled under
the guidance of my fairies and gnomes.

Just one of many plants waiting to be put outside.

Light shows shadow, but truth shows mysteries.

"And winter slumbering in the open air-
Wears on her smiling face a dream of Spring."
Samuel Taylor Coleridge

I thought
the winds of March
would bring true spring.

Still, there's a certain picturesque quality within my gardens.  As if a subtle mystery of what is yet to come, toys with my senses with a hopeful wonder of which, my camera will soon share.

Tiny little fairies relax the tenseness of our minds.

Perhaps it's the gardens of our childhood that bring us back here, year after year?

Life is short, just ask any butterfly.

There are always fairies in a garden, so pleased to meet yours. I love the shot of the lilies. The b&w makes them look to be made of bronze. More garden magic!

What a magical post you have created! In black and white it seemed even more surreal and dreamlike.

Amazing photos!

I linked up with Black and White Wednesday, too. You have me looking at things differently. I'm old enough to remember when all pictures were black and white.

I have been feeling as anxious as the little gnomes look. So close to being warm enough to move plants and starts outdoors.

Dearest Karen; Oh, great B.W pictures with your fairies and gnomes♡♡♡ So sorry for pasting but I loved to read your phrase "As if a subtle mystery of what is yet to come, toys with my senses with a hopeful wonder of which, my camera will soon share." For me not the garden but; After I started blogging I felt like 'wonder of camera' brought me lots of friends:-)

Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend, xoxo Miyako*
