Navigate the Fog

"A map says to you, read me carefully,
follow me closely, doubt me not.
I am the earth in the palm of your hand."
Beryl Markham

Not all birds can fly.

True navigation begins in the heart.
It's the most important map of all.

Passed years seem safe ones,
vanquished ones,
while the future lives in a cloud,
formidable from a distance.
The cloud clears as you enter it.
I have learned this, but like everyone else,
I learned it late.
Beryl Markham

This quote below, is what plays more often in my life
than I ever dreamed possible.

"You can live a lifetime, and at the end of it
know more about other people
 than you know about yourself."

Hello from inside a snow cave!

The great use of life is to spend it

I enjoyed this a lot! We should get more snow Sunday or early next week, so don't pack away those mittens!

Some great quotes here, and pictures to match. I love the way you blend them together and put them into context. My favourite quote is "The great use of life is to spend it on something that will outlast it" It's good to look at the furthest horizons we can see, sometimes.

Yeah, but that weather map looks clear to me! Of course, my eyesight is still very poor. Sigh.
