Carmi's says our theme is "Got the Blues"
(my favorite color) and as always our theme can bend, twist and shout with anything we desire.

Is anyone thinking, "If only this were true?" Actually, it's an advertising ploy (imagine that) from a  house builder!

This is just one of their blue houses for your "Good Life!"

Have you ever noticed that many people living in blue houses often drive blue cars?


Then we have that other kind of unmentionable blue......

When someone might just be feeling a bit

under the weather, or some certain reason or factor might be embedded in their deepest emotions

Would it be scary for a person with the blues to walk a tightrope?

Maybe not.....



If you shake yourself off, and pick yourself up and.....

milk-blue clouded marbles

of thoughts

yet to be defined.

For anyone looking in

this heap of

uncategorized boundaries

it ensures

the most lively

mythical creature

is left invisible

to the naked eye

and empty heart.

but yet, well suited for her amusement

So very different from

bling.

Whatever she wanted, they were at her beckon call.

Still, she baked in his, daily existence.

Together they cooked up guilty pleasures,

experienced bizarre and pleasurable anticipations

of, what shall life present today?

Once again Jenny has called for our assignments of the letter C.  Seriously, it's been a busy month already, and a beast of a day, and as every happy blogger knows, "have plenty of sleep before posting right?"  Or, maybe strengthen my coffee intake?

Surely before you leave your house, you've already made a pot or cup of coffee right?  But once you've left your home sweet dream kitchen, do you suddenly become a coffee snob?  Or, can you just buy a cup of coffee without preference?

Have you had your neighbor over for coffee lately?

THE NATURAL WORLD

Sometimes, when we least expect it, the natural world consumes life as we know it.  If, we stop paying attention to the things around us. 

The natural world and every living thing in it carries on, whether we take time to notice it or not.

Even the rich and famous, found peace and tranquility away from all the hustle and bustle that has consumed much of our natural world.  They flocked to places like this.

This is about twenty minutes away from the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada.  Red Rock Canyon waits quietly away from all the ringing slot machines, with a free and limitless expanse across a quivering earth we call home.

Through the whispering fields of sand and rocky roads this endless expanse of rolling rocks is nestled minutes away from a ranch where Howard Hughes discovered peace and quiet.

Before Howard Hughes bought this peaceful estate, it belonged to German actress Vera Krupp.

Just one of the views from the ranch house.

One of the park's hidden jewels is Lake Harriet.  Here a variety of ducks and the endangered Pahrump Poolfish make their home within the natural world.


What I enjoy most about the natural world, is that we determine where we call home. 

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
that is always calling.

...and look at all the treasures we gather along the way.

Warm air, and salty sea

wistfully teasing.

                                                                

Busy bees

buzzed incessantly,

overhead again.

A million cicadas screamed.

this day

A chilly wait for making

moment spectacles,

of branches sprouting

luscious flowers blooming,

you were born

with sticks and stems trembling

and deafening roots squatting.

Every delicious, edible delight

all intoxicatingly romantic

and incredibly loved

we begin playing chase again.

Welcome to the place Hemingway always felt at home....just outside Havana, Cuba.

He'd write by day, (often while standing at his typewriter) and fish the rest of the day away!
This photo is:
From inside his house with just a few of his prize captures.

Is it wrong to believe his richest love (if that is possible) is in the affairs of the heart....in Cuba and with Gellhorn?
They shared an exciting life of love and war and wrote straight from the perspective of the people they met.


One can always find the bull inside of us, waiting to be fought.

Ernest Hemingway's house in Havana, Cuba. He lived here for 20 years, (thanks to Gellhorn's persuasion) and left in 1960. He later died in Idaho 1961.  His house remains untouched. Every magazine and gin bottle remained where he left it the very day he left Cuba, in 1960.  It can be seen still today, at the museum in Havana.

A special note:  On the wall is where Hemingway would check his weight everyday and write it on the wall. (Next to the door.)

this intriguing pair of legs and rocking shoes and love that tipsy-sided walk, don't you?  Sure, it's just blogger being well, blogger.  But everything happens for a reason.....so sideways she shall be.  Rules, any style writing, 100 words, more photos allowed!

Night-Walking or Sleep-walking - You decide.

These shoes were made for

slipping outside her door.

Was inexplicable sadness

or unexplainable confidence

working her lofty dream space?

It happened before.

At sixteen,

Shaken to the center of her being

both quiet and miserable in her slumber

she'd dress for these midnight journeys

unbeknownst to her, at sixteen.

She'd walk right through her kitchen

into a much larger frying pan
into the street

and thankfully, never broke a window.

even to free a gnome.

We've called all the dogs

to lookout

as she walks the streets
in ineffable quality, and deadliness
a real threat 
 to herself

OF WHICH AROMA WAKES YOU UP TODAY

Shall it be a fresh cup of coffee, or the scent of your friendly neighborhood cow?

Hopefully, if you're like me, you'll select freshly brewed coffee over cows.

Although, this Coffee Pot Restaurant

doesn't appear to be open yet.

Alan, from Sepia Saturday has served up the lovely town of Waterford and/or coffee, tea or COWS!   Imagine that! 

But, if I may moo along with this cow theme for just a moment

I want to share a cow-house which stands like an oasis in the desert.  Sorry no cows are present in such glamorous surroundings, but another kind of distinct aroma lingers, and fortunately it's not my turn to clean the stalls.

It appears the lady facing us is having something a bit stronger!

Sure I know what you're thinking.  These are mostly cowboys, (without their cows) in cafe located in Junction, Texas.

.....and then,
It seems women tend to share coffee more often as couples or smaller groups -

Aren't those cars in the reflection especially nice?

We've got sunshine, good food, great company and fresh coffee. What more do you need?

It seems the language of coffee is shared all across the world.  Here we're looking at an outside Moorish cafe, Tunis, Tunisia about 1899.  It doesn't seem that much eating or drinking is going on.  The art of conversation is more relevant here.

It seems that in America there are a string of odd but creatively descriptive cafes and coffee houses in various areas.
