Thematic Photographic - Orange

THEMATIC PHOTOGRAPHIC

ORANGE!

Carmi, from Written Inc. blog and often found in lots of techie stories around town has offered "Orange" as our theme this week!
If only my pumpkins were bigger, and orange!

There are so many shades of orange....and once I saw what our TP theme was, how quickly my lunch break became,
Eat a sandwich and snap orange shots around my yard!
It felt much like a science report due this afternoon!

Orange, Orange Sights of Home

The old home town looks the same, as I step out from my car, and there to meet me is my Kitty-Crow!

In the driveway I look around me, at one orange side marker.

It's good to touch the orange, orange side marker of a Cougar!

It really is orange!

Down the yard there's that old oak tree with orange Tiger Lillies growing wild.

The old deck is still standing tho' the paint never was, and there's that old orange water pitcher holding a Black-Eyed Susan plant there to meet me.

If you'll come out with me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly

It's good to touch the orange, orange sights around here.

Arm in arm we'll walk this lunch break, avoiding in coming arrows!

Then we step back on the deck and look around, at what other orange things surround me, and there to meet me is my flower pot with orange water and....

am I dreaming or is this a sad old padre?

Yes, I hope you all enjoyed my orange shade of things, as we lay 'neath the end of lunch break, at the Orange, Orange Sights of Home!

Have you ever thought about how orange juice, isn't very orange in color?

Do you want to play along too, or just see more?

After reading this I Had to sit here and think a few minutes about what orange I might find in my yard. It's currently 104 here so forgive me for not going out and actually looking.

To the best of my recall I have one hanging basket by my front door that holds some tiny orange blooms. A big pot of yellow and orange Lantana sits at the corner of the house and that should be all. Afraid I go more for the purple and yellow items.

Found your photos lovely and your narrative gave me a chuckle. Can't ask for more.

Ah we had the orange tiger lilies in spades around here a few weeks ago, but they're all gone now.

Still got some orange flying critters, though.

Nice pics, Karen. I like your Kitty-Crow.

Kitty-crow - love that! And the reflections you got on the side of your Cougar are amazing, it took me a while to even realize it was a car marker. As always, I enjoy seeing and reading your posts.

Juice! Now that's an original thought! How simple but how clever!
I like the reflectors, too.

Rita, welcome, and thanks! Wow, it's been hot here too, but 104 that's just over the top! Stay cool!

Max- I thought you might like the side marker! My daughter did the artwork (it was her high school play thing!)

Thanks for liking my Kitty-Crow everyone! He went up one Halloween and I just can't take him down! In the winter he gets a scarf and hat too! :)

This reminded me of my "From my Dining Room Window."

The eye misses a lot of neat/beautiful views if you aren't thinking through a lens.

Have a great day!

You take us on the best journeys, Karen. They're not just pictures, but entire stories. I love how you see, experience and share the world.

To think I had to go to your Michigan for a garden orange when I have orange flower pots to show. Kiyy-Crow is a beaut!

I, like Rita, have orange lantana in my yard. Oh, and also some orange blooms on some vines as well. AND we have an orange couch in our family room. Actually it only looks orange in photos--it's really terra cotta.

More good photos from you, Karen!!
