Thematic Photographic - 216 Fall Colors 2

THEMATIC PHOTOGRAPHIC

Just because it was such a superbly beautiful day today-
I couldn't resist one more post
for Carmi's Fall Colors.... because nature is just that awesome ....

The falling leaves drift by my window.....

These autumn leaves of red and gold
scattering across
these sun-burned grounds
crunching softly all around us now....

as autumn leaves begin to fall
and soon we'll hear old winter's song....

But, not too soon I hope....

If you want to catch the last posts of fall colors
before old man winter
and the next new theme
is born
go here

More beautiful pictures - wow, all those leaves on the ground. Glad I don't have to rake them!

How beautiful. Some of the most wonderful fall colours are never seen in England because the trees that have them don't grow wild here. But still here autumn it has a beauty of its own.

I love fall colors, you've captured them magnificently Karen... what I don't like is I no longer can throw on my shorts, jump in my car and just go... there's something about cooling off that doesn't make me want to just go, maybe because it's warmer in my flannel PJ bottoms and slippers, maybe if I got dressed I'd change my mind! lol

Have a wonderful week, I hope you don't have to rake up all of these leaves.

How I miss Fall in New England! It is the most beautiful part of the year (I think I have had enough Winter, though).

Lisa Thanks, I went a little nuts on all the picture taking yesterday, and so to share a third of them I made a collage!

Jenny- I've never been to England in the fall, something I have to change, I bet it's something special!

Darlin - I know just what you mean, and gosh you even got some snow already - that scares me, cuz it will be here pretty soon then too! Yikes! Where did my summer go?!!!

JJ I sure know what you mean about winter....! Of course if we could have a winter like last year again, I'd be really happy!

I've got to get back to West Virginia to take some pictures there.

Love your 2nd go around, Karen.

Alas, we won't have a very pretty fall down here this year. For it was way too dry to for way too long this summer.

I sit here some days and wish I could go back to summer, the hazy lazy days of summer. If I had my way I'd be found in December sitting on a beach in Australia without a care in the world. This winter concerns me, I haven't been in winter since Jan. 21st, I hope I don't take too long to readjust!

Cheers.

Darlin- I share in your winter worries too, but hopefully we'll all trudge through it, sometimes unwillingly- so we light a fire and heat the hot chocolate, which often is followed by the wine..as we whine, but then we build a snowman and maybe take a skate around the park and soon...so soon after, we begin posting those first buds coming up from our flower beds...yes, I'm already dreaming of that. Plus I did put up a green house for my birthday in May, and I'm hoping for spring and summer scents inside it on a cold and snowy day! YeS! I'm planning on fighting back this winter!
