O, Winter Evening

What an incredible day to enjoy an afternoon of window bliss,
 one window at a time.

I discovered windows one afternoon and after that,
nothing was ever the same.
Anne Spollen

Feel free to catch the splendid beauty of the outdoors
as it silently slips
 through large glass panels.

Don't waste a minute not being happy. If one window closes,
run to the next window, or break down a door.
Brook Shields

I spy a snowman!

If the house of the world is dark,
love will find a way to create windows.
Rumi

Such tasteful concrete with cow spots!

Need a ride?

Free parking until spring.

Plenty of room at the inn.

Where have all the people gone?

O, winter evening you happened in
just as my stroll
drew near an end
through your deserted town.
What a pleasure it was
free from having
to bundle up heavily against the cold.
Especially when they say
a blizzard is on the way.
Maybe.

Behind this window glass a quiet office
waits for people to return.
I can almost smell the coffee!

Stop the words now
open the window in the center of your chest
and let the spirits fly in and out.
Rumi

Stop. Look. Listen. Enjoy. Live.

There is a place where words
are born of silence.
Rumi

and music sweetens the soul.

Thanks for stopping by
take good care of you.

Hello, cute kiddies in the window. I love all the window displays, the elephant painting is my favorite. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

A nice combination of pictures and words. It made me think about different aspects of windows, and actually made me think of the 17th century hymn, with a line I always liked,

"A man that looks on glass,
On it may stay his eye;
Or if he pleaseth, through it pass,
And then the heav'n espy."

But wow, it looks cold where you are! :)

Hello Jenny great to hear from you again! Yesterday we had a heat wave, about 42 but today it's 21 with flurries and freezing rain, so perhaps the scheduled blizzard has lessened! That would be wonderful.
