The Mag 133

THE MAG 133

Image- Summer Night -  1913 - Albert Bloch

Shawl over Moon

The goddesses danced away
amongst the drifting haze
of summer's day-

like whispering shadows
gnawing away
familiar riddles
of destiny-

So quickly
their steps hastened
under a brilliant blue sky-
the goddesses
revelled in
autumn's intrusion.

As it slept
in an alleyway
under twilight shadows
waiting to descend -
stretching dimly ahead
this new
 singing moon
overhead.

Oh Karen, dancing goddesses and singing moons? Your poem doesn't need a picture you've drawn one of your own with words. The repetion of certain rhymes and words adds the detail.

Oh so beautiful Karen! Familiar spirits of nature traditionally welcome spring, but I think autumn is a more richly colored season. The singing moon is indeed a lovely notion. Thank you for sharing this.=D
