Thematic Photographic #149 Family an Unusual response

Hello fellow bloggers...it's time for Written Inc. and Carmi's theme of the week......hmmmm we've had this theme before....and it seems sometimes when it's this kind of theme not so many bloggers check it out..(Why is that?).......so I'm going totally different on this week's theme of "family" ...........with my unusual response!

If you feel like like playing along too just go here
http://writteninc.blogspot.com/2011/06/thematic-photographic-149-family.html

The following photos were taken on my recent vacation...(which by the way did not include any of my family...at all)....beginning in Red Rock Canyon, one of the Mojave Desert's beautiful attractions....with scenic desert cliffs, buttes, spectacular rock formations and burros....oh I so enjoy their darling little joyful faces....

Meet the Brothers.........
and because sometimes your significant other comes along in the middle of a good conversation...

"Come on honey time to come home now....."

Mommy and Daddy....pictured and their little one is grazing just behind them!

just a lovely day outside Bonnie Springs Ranch.....on the 28th May...

"This is intimacy: its touch is ever new, revealing the precious moments we have to live and to connect with things.  No love is ever lost in this universe."   - Gunilla Norris
Lead the way so I may follow......

Father and son......(and random strangers coming up beside them)

okay and moving on

Sisters for life!  You don't believe me...well, just ask them!

Really? this is a duplicate theme? I think people just aren't blogging as much, I noticed it after tax season or is it a coincidence... Right now for me family is a sensitive subject.. I'm going thru some stuff w/my son so, its really touchy... I do like your interpretation.. Family just doesn't mean the obvious...

Looks like a wonderful vacation, something I'd like to do. I went your route with an unusual response.

I love the colors in that second one!
Yes, I agree that we've had this theme -- or something very similar -- before. I just did a photo post on something else, so I might not bother with this one.

All great photos and refreshing takes on 'family'.

On an unrelated, but maybe a little related point; I too agree the blogging in general has slowed down some - not just thematic. I personally think that just as video killed the radio star, facebook is slowly killing the blogosphere.

I think that blogging is slowing down because we all have the great outdoors to explore and lawns to tend to, the kids are winding down another year of school, and summer holidays are just around the corner. If I wasn't so committed to my P365 I'd be doing other things besides blogging. I've come to prefer blogging to facebook, there's so much junk on facebook now-days and totally irrelevant things are tossed around, things I just don't need to see or read. I still go there once in a while but nowhere like I used to.

I LOVE what you did for a family theme here, it's unique and creative.

Canadian Mark, KBF, and Darlin, thanks, and I too have been using FaceBook less and Blogger more, although the comment reply is really in a mess (Grrrrr) I hope they fix it soon! This pond had all sorts of cool friends, even turtles! Oh yeah, I can't even comment on my own blog without jumping hurdles...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
