Definitely Maybe with Critters on Saturday

Welcome

So into nature we begin in its rawest forms
and we'll come out better for it by the day's end.

"I go to nature to be soothed
healed and have my senses put in order."
John Burroughs

Welcome critters!

Good morning all!

"You are Llamazing"

"Today is the right day to
Love, Believe, Do and mostly live."
Dalai Lama

"Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle."
Lewis Carroll

"Definitely, I want to go outside, maybe now please?"

Detective Rusty definitely on duty, maybe,
no absolutely, he smells new pups on me.

You're definitely treading on thin ice. Maybe I'll let you be here.
Just remember a maybe from a cat usually means definitely NO!

"Nothing is ever what you imagine, is it?"
The Secret of Lost Things.

Definitely a female, maybe a deer?

"The secret of having it all is believing you already do."

"Some people talk to animals.
Not many listen though. That's the problem."
A.A. Milne

Definitely, held captive.

"I'm not lost for I know where I am.
But however, where I am may be lost."
A.A. Milne

As a matter of fact I am proof of owl-cute-ness.

"The owl is the wisest of all birds
Because the more it sees the less it talks."
African Proverb

"To understand the world
one has to turn away from it on occasion."
Albert Camus

"Peace is costly
but it is worth the expense."

they shall never be broken."
Albert Camus

A Gathering of Incidents with Critters

Welcome to
SATURDAY'S CRITTERS
a wee bit late.

Just a few thoughts billowing about my mind
 to share with you.

It's the right wish that draws us to the right place.
Nothing of importance happens
accidentally in our life.

All eyes on you in honor of Saturday's critters.

Ever wish you'd called off from work,
he thought being thrust above the audience.

"It's good to do uncomfortable things.
It's weight training for life."
Anne Lamott

Again on the importance of hand sanitizer.
and of course #MasksOn

We all have magic inside us.
Pass it on.

"The world is full of magic things
patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper."
W.B. Yeats

Where the waters do agree, it is quite wonderful
 the relief they give.
Jane Austen

To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles.

We're going to just sit on the dock of the bay
fishing our day away.

I've always had trouble growing Hollyhocks.

Yet this new plant of two years had lots of potential.
Had. Until trouble hit again, although I still have lots of blossoms and new buds preparing to burst with life.

So this morning I finally caught the critter
that's been dining on my Hollyhock plant.

Japanese Beetles mania.
Don't they realize,

The natural world outside is waiting.
It's a giant, open ended learning laboratory
for all who desire to know things.

"We seldom know what echo our actions will find
but our stories will most certainly outlast us."
Colum McCann

The Importance of Swimming to Shore

"Then the clouds curtsy in,
the rain kneels upon the land
and the weather knocks them back
a whole day and a half."
Colum McCann

If wishes were fishes we'd all swim in riches.

The most affectionate creature in the world is a wet dog.
Always.

"Do you have the patience to wait
until your mud settles and the water is clear?"
Lao Tzu

Silence is a source of great strength.

I am all the ages I've ever been.
Anne Lamott

"Life's a great balancing act.
So be sure when you step,
Step with care and great tact."
Dr. Seuss

"The simple things come back to us.
They rest for a moment by our ribcages
then suddenly reach in and twist
our hearts a notch backward."
Colum McCann

Great things are done by a series of small things
brought together
and shared by all
and allow each of us to feel in our own way.

Thanks for being here.
May all your wishes come true.
take good care of you

Milwaukee I have Chapters About You

Having traveled all modes of transportation I believe one of my favorites is by rail.  Especially when my daughter and I and long time friend took the Amtrak to Chicago as a birthday celebration and one of our favorite stops along the route was Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Milwaukee

If you have the opportunity to spend the evening
 in downtown Milwaukee, do it!

"Your soul doesn't care what you do for a living-
and when your life is over, neither will you.
Your soul cares only about what you are being
while you are doing whatever you are doing."
Neale Donald Walsch

This quote-

"The present was an egg laid
by the past that had the future
 inside its shell."
by Zora Neale Hurston

 explains artwork, architecture, designs,
even songs into theory.
Wouldn't you agree?

"There are those that say seeing is believing.
I am telling you that seeing is believing."
Neale Walsch

Here's a subliminal thought
No matter where you wander keep joyful thoughts alive.

Like from your morning walk.

"If your strength is small,
don't carry heavy burdens.
If your words are worthless
don't give advice."
Chinese Proverbs

Hate is too heavy a burden to bear.
Be kind, and when in doubt, be kind.

The soul's joy lies in doing.
William Shakespeare

"Into the statue that breathes
the soul of the sculpture is bidden."

Under the joy that is felt.

Sweets with sweets
war not, joy
delights in joy.
William Shakespeare

trending in my thoughts from statues to cars.... silly but true this moment in time.

Taking time to be curious.

"The highest thought is always that which contains joy."
NDW

The River Road Trip!

While gazing across the Mighty Mississippi-
I enjoy snapping photos of Wisconsin from Minnesota
and once I cross the Mississippi taking photos of Minnesota!

While in Wisconsin do as the Wisconsinites do!
Visit
The House on the Rock!

More than just a tea pot!

Favorite bumper sticker message of the day.

I'd Rather be Boating!

and

Get YachtAway From it All.

When traveling by car it's so much easier to stop for treats along the way!

"If you carry joy in your heart, you can heal any moment."
Neale Walsch

Thank you sharing a few moments here with me.
Take good care of you.

Wistaria or Wisteria and Critters

Happy Birthday America!

"We must be free not because we claim freedom
but that we practice it. Happy Independence Day!"
William Faulkner

"It was a summer of wistaria. The twilight was full of it and of the smell of his father's cigar as they sat on the front gallery after supper...while in the deep shaggy lawn below the veranda fireflies blew and drifted in soft random."

William Faulkner

Wistaria or Wisteria? I get stuck on things like that.
Curiosity, and Faulkner's unique writing style.
in short he preferred wistaria over wisteria.

Welcome to

Below, Dash chasing a baby bunny!

"He who can no longer pause
to wonder and stand rapt in awe
is as good as dead;
his eyes are closed."
Albert Einstein

All of life seemed frozen in that one photo.

The miracle is not to walk on water.
The miracle is to walk on earth.
Linji Yixuan

The true meaning of
Lucky dog!

"And there is not anything in the world stronger than tenderness.
Han Suyin

"If you love the sacred and despise the ordinary
you are still bobbing in the sea of illusion."
Linji Yixuan

Seriousness and pleasure should strive together.
Allvar och gamman trives garna samman.
Swedish proverb

"People bring to what they see and feel
the inner weather of their souls
and complexion of their minds."
Han Suyin

...and we are so very grateful that they do.

Pursue what catches your heart
not what catches your eyes.
Roy Bennett

In life we have two choices really.
Wait for that special day
or celebrate every day as special.

Thanks for stopping by your visits mean the world to me.
Take good care of you.
