Talking Nonsense

Talking nonsense can be productive. Try it. Please join me in a bit of nonsense. It does take the edge off edginess. Posting to City Daily Photo.

Silly? Nope. Nonsense? No way. Meet Beloved Jake on Bass, a chocolate lab. He was a loyal friend and always there to entertain us in Red Wing, Minnesota.

Play it again for me, Jake.

"Bass players and drummers are brothers in the basement cooking up the groove that makes people move." John Densmore

Yes, walking around 50th and France in Edina this is a hard hat typically used in construction is waiting for the perfect buyer.  So don't for a second believe this is nonsense as females have entered this field more than you know.

As a matter of fact, there are loads of bears in construction as well.

One of the reasons I enjoy Dr. Suess is this.

"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living. It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities." Dr. Seuss

"Talking nonsense is the sole privilege mankind possesses over the other organisms. It's by talking nonsense that one gets to the truth! I talk nonsense, therefore I'm human." Fyodor Dostoevsky

You never know what's out there until you wander about.

"How many hours are there in a mile? Is yellow square or round? Probably half the questions we ask-half our great theological and metaphysical problems-are like that."

C. S. Lewis

How many hours in a mile, depends on the journey you're pursuing.

The answer to that is it all depends on You.

So happy to be alive squawking about telling our story.

"Non sense laugh can't be considered in a category of good sense of humor. Make the people laugh without hurting a single sensitive part on this Earth is an intelligent skill." Sonal Takalkar

"It has always been my understanding that truth and freedom can only exist in wild places." Daniel J. Rice

Thanks for sharing time with me, and if you have a bit of your own sort of nonsense to share please do it'll make our day!

Take good care of you!

Statues Clowns and Critters for Saturday

What could be more uplifting than statues, clowns and critters and not necessarily in that order? They rock my world how about you? I'm posting to City Daily Photo and

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

All the critters in our lives teach us so much of what we know.

Be like your dog and chase you sense of wonder.

Have you ever watched a Meerkat rub against a rock?
Here's why, they are marking their territory.

Sunday Adelaja

"When you consider things like the stars, our affairs don't seem to matter very much, do they?" Jennifer Niven

Now how about those statues I promised?

For me it's all about statues that someone somewhere took the initiative to create just for us to discover and they're everywhere. I don't just enjoy the statue itself but the story or history behind it. Discover and unravel new things.

These are all works of art performed by Jonathan Borofsky.

Ballerina Clown on Rose Avenue in Venice Beach, California

I recently rediscovered him, it seems life always brings on other more important things and my research of sculptor, Jonathan Borofsky fell behind to collect dust. I'm only sharing three of his statues waiting to be noticed, there are so many more. Honestly, a road-trip-extravaganza is really a possibility. Someday. Of course, it's not his statues alone, take Venice Beach, California there are notably 25 things to see right off.

Meet "Hammering Man" from his series of monumental kinetic sculptures and it represents, "the working man." Since this installation in 1992 it's logged some 90,000-minute striking 4 times a minute.

Blowin' In The Wind

Has it been as windy in your city as it has in ours? I'm betting we beat the world's record of days in a row that were extremely windy. I'm posting to City Daily Photo.

This was our one perfect spring day so far, as I left work clouds hung in mysterious and animal like shapes and it was 52 marvelous degrees that afternoon. But that was Monday and the next day we woke up to snow that switched to rain and back to snow again.

"The times they are a changing."

It only takes one flower; I don't need an entire garden.

Maria Boria quotes

Hold your head high.

The life in front of you is far more important than  the life behind you.

Joel Osteen

Begin your day with,

One Beautiful thing.

So let one beautiful thing of your day stand out, no matter how small or trivial or uneventful you may believe it to be. If it's beautiful to you it counts. Read a poem, lay down and watch the clouds float by. Watch a Hallmark movie. Just say to yourself, the world is full of wonders.

About Laughter

Get it. Give it.

We always need it.

Within tears, find hidden laughter. Seek treasures amid ruins, sincere one.

Twists and Saturday Critters

 Welcome to another

 SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and I'm also posting to City Daily Photo

It seems Minnesota is locked in a never-ending cycle of twists and turns when it comes to the weather, and it seems to be spreading. My daughter in Alabama has had temperatures in the 70's and 80's and yesterday a high of only 40 degrees.

Misty is freshing groomed and feeling oh so happy!

I enjoy a world that increasingly consists of more critters.

Don't you?

And Mr. Dash, he gets so exhausted after a day at the groomers.

Tuesday was grooming day for my two winter-weary-and furry-pups, just before their buddies come for a stay-over.

This foursome really knows how to truly carry on with joyful play.

Little Miss sweet Emme

Darling sweet Bagsley

We have a lot of roaming and sniffing around acreage to investigate but unfortunately it seems winter doesn't care to cooperate with our outdoor adventures.

Guess who is bewildered yet hopeful for dry-green-grasses to hide little precious eggs?

Every contraction is naturally followed by an expansion; every time you feel your heart shrivel be confident that it will blossom in turn.

Rumi

So, there's a lot of window-watching going on.

Oops, it's a bunny alert again and the dogs go wild!

Below hiding pretty much in plain sight and blending perfectly.

No matter where they are the doggie foursome patrol never misses anything. Never ever.

So as the snow continues to fall, Harry says, "I'll be in my bedroom, making no noise and pretending I'm not there."

Every object, every being,

is a jar full of delight.

Be a connoisseur, and taste with caution.

Any wine will get you high.

Judge like a king, and choose the purest,

the ones unadulterated with fear,

or some urgency about "what's needed."

Drink the wine that moves you

as a camel moves when it's been untied,

and is just ambling about.

Rumi

You lose in life, not because of failing, but because of not participating.

"Live like a tree, giving, forgiving and free."

Debasish Mridha

and when winter remains, bring those bulbs home to bloom. It's like blooming wherever you're planted.

Speaking of blooming, absolute proof that pups truly have the gift of the pursuit of happiness and owning it. My daughter just sent me some photos of her morning outing.

Every pup's dream, mud-pie-face.

Too much exercise, must drink.

Thanks for stopping in.

Take good care of you

and enjoy your moments.

One Snowflake at a Time I Guess

Yesterday I didn't have time to visit the Arb aka our Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, Minnesota, so I stopped at Terra Garden Center close to home. I'm posting to City Daily Photo.

Tuesday morning.

I'm feeling just a wee bit depressed over the continuous winter theme about town, so I thought why not bring home some tulips so they can open up in my window.

This day felt like a bag of moments.
Take the good and the bad.
Catch some happy sights and carry on.

Blooms blown-up and birds that are ready for flight.

"I believe in the uncommon the unusual and unlikely, even the miraculous. I believe in all things except impossibilities. That I can't fathom."

Just keep going.

"Some days seem to fit together like a stained-glass window. A hundred little pieces of different color and mood that, when combined, create a complete picture." Maggie Stiefvater

Rainer Maria Rilke

"If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself, tell yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches; for to the creator there is no poverty and no poor indifferent place."
Rainer Maria Rilke

Can you catch a falling snowflake?

I believe in the power of why?
Always ask questions.

There's nothing wrong with having thoughts that don't quite fit with your other thoughts. Think outside the box they say.
It's always good to keep tending to our perhaps unconventional parts or norms in ourselves and in our daily life.

Do have an unusual day, won't you?

Thank you for stopping in.
Your visits and comments are very special.
Take good care of you and be safe.
