The Nightly nature of .....Nature, appearing within the darkness of the Night sky. |
Naturally it's ALPHABE-THURSDAY
Celebrating the letter "N" from Jenny's "Off on my tangent" blog....
if you wish to play along it's very simple, just go here

It's the early gentle beginnings of the Night sky I favor most.
The Nightly nature of the Night sky this evening was veiled with a slight haze of gold. While the snow capped anything outside fortunate enough to hold even an ounce of snow fought diligently for its place, all kin to nature. All eerily familiar, underneath this brilliant cobalt sky with fluffy clouds tumbling overhead. Night is falling once again.
IT ALWAYS DOES, and ALWAYS WILL, where I live.
Neatly staged in places which our eyes will never notice,
are thousands upon thousands
of tiny silvered stars sprinkled
endlessly against the Night sky.
All just out of reach,
yet sparkling in the night's
gathering of unexplorable space
for the entire world to see.
Cry not a single teardrop for this lonesome bench,
beached beneath the Night sky,
for besides welcoming all underneath these immortal stars,
hope has dusted each plank of wood.
Once again waiting,
for warm bodies to linger,
sharing secrets,
contagious laughter
and anecdotes of a day well spent
before the Night sky enters.
Starry night, every night a starry night.
Though never every star I'll see tonight.
Each star, fading here and there
A canopy of light
Soaking up the rhythm of night
All across the universe every night
It's the nature of the Night sky. - KMS

I love this! The photos and the words...very artistically done!
Fantastic post Karen, I especially love the last photo! Also thank you for posting snow photos, it makes it a wee bit easier when I'm feeling homesick to get over it really quick and now I think I'll head off to the beach today. ;-)
Cheers.
That is a beautiful N post Karen. Love your -photo's
Very beautiful photos, amazing crepuscular light, I love those views. Greetings.
Love especially your second pic - a gorgeous sky! Thanks for visiting my blog!
Great photos and text. Thanks!
=)
Lovely. I love both the last daylight and the first morning light...they're both special in their own ways.
How beautiful...and I can't get over how much snow you have. I'm in Boston and we've got bare ground (that's a tangent, but it really struck me ;)
City Share, thanks for stopping by! Funny thing about all of our snow, it just arrived the night before this photo was taken, and is nearly melted away again already! The day before this snow fell, there wasn't a flake of snow where I shot this! Really! We all are having a strange winter!
Karen, what a gifted writer you are. I felt as if I was sharing a dream world with you. And your photographs are so excellent.
xoxo
Wonderful words to ponder and beautiful photos..great post !
I loved this post and the pictures you took! You words are very soothing and hopeful. I love the calmness in your pictures, too.

Letter N
gosh, I never really thought about that - every night is a starry night! Beautiful pics. {:-Deb
I love the last picture especially, and I'm so jealous about the snow. We've hardly had a winter here, and I fear the summer will be another long, hot one.
That park bench one is unusual.
Now that was a special post for me, a star-lover and star-gazer. It sparkled.
Very beautiful dawn and night pictures !
wonderful skies! i would really like to see you at *ein stück himmel* ♥ so if you like ... join us :)
Perfect poetry and photos...I love the contrast of the white snow and black silhouettes of the trees... And especially love the bench...with your words of the "hope...dusted..." upon it...
Blessings & Aloha!
Aw...how old is your grandbaby? I do think that the crib is one that will change into a youth bed and then headboards, but the dresser our daughter has was just a dresser that was the perfect height for doubling as a changing table. I wish we lived closer!
Personalized Sketches and Sentiments, If this is your first grandbaby of your daughter too, it will be tough if you live so far! My youngest grandbaby will be 2 in July and my daughter's little girl, Lyra will be 3 in June! Her crib was changed into the toddler bed a while ago.....I wish you all luck and happiness!
I really liked the part about the lonesome bench "waiting for warm bodies to linger, sharing secrets, contagious laughter..."
Oh Karen! That is absolutely, totally my favorite type of sky.
For some reason those kind of clouds always makes me think of my Grandmother. It was that sky that I saw on the day that she died.
Thanks for such an evocative post! These are beautiful and nifty images.
A++++++
