Thematic Photographic - Fly

Thematic Photographic

Carmi has declared "fly as our theme" this week
and like always
come what may!

I took this photo in early autumn to post on Facebook.  The birds outside were flying and squawking so loudly you would have thought they had made inside the house!

Bird- Fly-In!

The case of Flying Snow!
Holy cow snow in my face, seriously!

Actually, Lady loves getting snow in her face and begs for more!

"Spread your winds and let the fairy in you fly!"

Flying through the air- without a care in the world.....just keep pushing me, higher and higher!

Look fast!  Turtle on the fly..... moving fast.....well as fast as a turtle can crawl...

Angus McTortoise!  (Not mine) Is a Renaissance Festival character and can be seen almost every weekend if he and and his owner feel like roaming the grounds. He has his own face book account too if you feel like following his life- check it out!

So just in case you want to post your own or view other fly posts

I specially love the swinging picture. I used to love that so much when I was a kid, I can still remember the thrill!

That turtle ox is just too funny!

Ah mannnnn.

You shouldn't dress up a hundred year old tortoise.

Just isn't right.

A tortoise has dignity.

(loved the field of crows)

Okay, the birds made me think of Hitchcock. And, what's the story behind that tortoise???

I'm with R Mac - let the turtle go!
No wonder the snapper evolved.
How free are the birds.

For inquiring minds- Angus McTortoise is a real live character at the Renaissance Festival- and seems to have a pretty good life when you meet him. He does have his own facebook account so you can be his friend and follow his life!

Adorable wee girl, is this one of your grandchildren? I love the huge smile on her face!

The turtle, well now I only wish I could have a pet turtle, I LOVE turtles and what they symbolize!

Have a fantastic day Karen! Cheers.

The birds remind me of Hitchcock as well (great movie!). And the turtle, well, you shouldn't expect a speedy delivery when turtles are used as a transportation device :-).

So many birds all at once- no wonder they were noisy!

I love the little girl on the station platform :)

But I don't like seeing animals dressed up, either...

Great selection as usual!

i feel kinda sorry for the tortoise! you can see it in his eyes...he doesn't look very happy with this situation.

I love these all but the Two Harbors one is my favorite.

Okay, maybe it's the turtle one.

Thanks for everyone's great comments, and it's really good to know that there are animals lovers and protectors among us all!

The first picture made me gasp. At first, I thought the black spots were feathers--then I grabbed my glasses. My gods! so many birds!!!
