WELCOME TO
SATURDAY CENTUS
Welcome to 2013 first centus of the year. Jenny, "From off on my tangent" blog has given us this picture prompt - for us to report back in, first person, and no more than 100 words.
Out of the Mouths of Babes.
"World, I've got you. You'll be okay, I promise."
I'll think like a Ninja, be daring like Batman, and do something. Mommy called it, imperative!
But, what? Can't follow spongy old grown-ups. Nope. Break their forlorn habits, throw away hatred and naughtiness, ( I heard that). I'll stuff bullies into my Bat-Space-Ship, point it to Mars, and push the blast off button. Would that make the world okay?
Nope. "Evil is as evil does" heard that in church, "to coin a phrase" heard that too, but I wouldn't give a coin for that. I don't believe birds must fly and fish must swim, because they don't have to.
Maybe I'll leave this "save the planet thing" to the President and our garbage man. I promise not to be mean, to anybody, won't take what isn't mine, I'll share more, even with my little sister. Oh yeah, I'll listen more, keep my room clean, walk my bike across streets with lights, and be super nice to old people.
"Okay, I've got this world!"

Oh, if my confidence were so solid.
Good.
That will be a fine grown up some day.
Nice take on the prompt. Each of us has to do his or her part...
=)
Positive and encouraging piece...love the child's enthusiasm!
Love the insight this little fellow has. Love reading your writtings.
Blessings
Very insightful!
Great response! Children DO listen - we must be careful about what we teach them and what they hear us say.
cute perspective. Children definitely see the world much simpler...and sometimes much better.

Chldren are always honest. My wife taught the little ones for many years. She always said, "If you don't want to hear the truth, don't ask a child."
Beautifully said! The innocence of children before our society conditions them... if only children could hang onto their opinions and attitudes long enough to make the change this world desperately needs, wouldn't it be a beautiful place to live?
Simply perfect wish the world was like it
Oh, Karen, that was just so adorable...very well done !!! :)
Oh, to be young again. To have such an uplifting outlook!
Yup, the world could always use some more kindness! : )
Well done! So wise and true!
It is not always easy to act like this as a parent. Our influence will always be big I guess. But is good to keep trying ;-)
Greetings from The Netherlands!

When I was little I thought like a child.
Simplistic solutions would make our world better.
Now that I'm older I wish that people in power had more compassion and wisdom in their decisions.
This was really sweet.
And it made me quite sad.
