To Those Who Love A Special Tree

Life is ever-changing.  Trees have been rooted in both past and present
of all our lives.
You, are the lucky one, if you've come to know a special tree.

 Respect all living things.

MAKE TIME SIMPLY
 TO STOP AND LISTEN
TO
THE
 TREES TALK

Do not let your mind be disturbed.

"A cold wind was blowing from the north, and it made the trees rustle like living things." -

George R. R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

"In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful."  - Alice Walker

"I like trees because they seem more resigned to the way they have to live than other things do."
- Willa Siebert Cather

I know a tree, that's not like any other tree.

....and it waits for me, by the dock of the bay, every day and every night.

"Don't forget what you are seeking.  When you master the situation you are in, you will no longer be driven around by circumstances."

We adorn our favorite trees with tokens from our heart to reach
out

even during the most difficult circumstances
 in our own lives sometimes.....

It's often
 necessary,
to comfort the soul of others.

So many times, it's the kindest thing to do.

Even if I speak it not, I hope you feel my caring thoughts.
You'll see it in my eyes.

"Even if tomorrow I knew the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree."

Martin Luther

There are those special trees growing in places where their tree-talk has reached the ear of wee folks, and they arrive to further the tree's deepest desires.

There is without a doubt in my heart and mind
a powerfully strange magic that lives within trees

If you haven't heard them speak, listen so much closer, next time the winds blow.  You'll hear it too.

TexWisGirl Me too. It was actually seeing your tree the other day by the fence, with the bird that brought all my tree thoughts to another post! Enjoy your weekend!

I also love trees, especially when the leaves are green... here's to hoping this transpires sometime in the very near future.

Karen have you ever been through Saskatchewan? You can see for miles and miles on a long straight road, I swear you can see from one boarder to another, the lack of trees makes for a very long drive through this province. After driving through Saskatchewan I came to appreciate my beautiful province that much more!

Have a fantastic weekend!

This is so beautiful, Karen. I'm a tree-lover too, and I felt that in this post you were showing me all of the beauty that I see in trees. Thank you.

It is really not fair. For back when I could get out in the woods and on some body of water, I was only interested in bringing home something to eat, and when that wasn't happening, I felt like I had made a wasted trip. Now that I can no longer get out in the woods and on some body of water, I could thoroughly enjoy just being there. Sigh.

Geeze, Karen. I was pretty happy until I read this reflective post. I began thinking of the trees that are important to me ... one at my house, three on the street where I grew up ... a few that we need to cut down so that they won't land on our 5th wheel (but that makes me feel guilty). I love trees very much, especially old ones. Old growth cannot be replaced.

Hugs,

Kathy M.
