VEGETATIVE - or rather the very lack of in my neck of the woods.
Yes, my muse is somewhat buried still by Carmi's theme word this week.
Perhaps, he's testing our very skill of it all?
Vegetative defined is, in a good year, growing or having the power of growing- or relating to, or denoting reproduction or propagation achieved by asexual means.
The very simple act of rebirth, is an on and off again process this spring for many of us.
The biggest question has been, to uncover or cover again, as our wintry spring hangs on?
Are these buds just blurry by shot, or have they been caught in motion for their great escape to a warmer climate?
Slow is the waking of spring to our valley but,
we carry the hope of it.

Awesome to see signs of spring, now if it would only get here! What are the plants in your second shot? I think that these are the ones I was looking at in Australia, or they are very similar from what I see. Speaking of plants, I think that I'll go check if anything else has poked through the snow!

You are right my photos for Carmi's theme are from a few years back. Spring is just beginning here, you can see how far along we are here from the photos I posted on my blog. Photos from this morning. Let's hope it stays!
Now I see what you mean about your spring, Here the snowdrops have gone, trees are bursting into leaf, daffodils, tulips and primulas are a riot of colour, So there is a marked difference between us with regard to what we can see. Love yor opening quote.

I love your shots, but I think your Spring is even later than ours! Hope you "go green" soon!
We've had the same problem here in Utah - two nights ago it got down below freezing again. Great pictures though, hope spring hits here and there soon.
