"It's never too late to have a happy childhood."

Looking in. One of my fondest memories from childhood, is how eager I was to look inside where the light was shining. Especially during Halloween. It wasn't just about the candy when I approached every house.
Seeing things with life, even if they were made of stone.
My dolls were third on my list after my dog, and stuffed animals.
Then cars and houses, building sets. A well adjusted childhood right?
Playing tricks for folks to stumble upon.
That's why seeing the photo below was such a gift for me.

I'm currently enjoying childhood #2...not so looking forward to childhood #3
My dog, dancing, and just having fun!
I still like to look into lighted windows while walking on a dark street or during dusk! I'm sure I've kept that from my childhood
I love that quote ~ Too cold here at the moment and really wishing for spring to come very soon ~
I've gotten old enough now to play...again! I have dolls and even got paper dolls for my birthday last week. And a stuffed toy! lol It's FUN and makes me happy. I didn't have nearly as many toys when I was young as I do now! Enjoy your week! Hugs!
Dearest Karen; Oh, I LOVED our dogs until I married (we had 3,not at the same time, though). And the dolls were my sweet memories♡♡♡ Not with the baseball ball my late bro forced me to play with him p:-)

Yes, dolls and our cat! Lovely memories, Karen!
Nice post. And it's got me thinking. I'll let you know when I've grown up!
With my interest in dogs it still grieves me that no photos exist of the dogs I grew up with - up till 18, I think.
Very cute photos and great childhood memories Karen. I have lots of good memories, two of them getting ready for Christmas where I used to help my mum decorate the house with garlands and balloons, and Christmas morning when I knew I would be finding a Judy annual in the old pillowcase we used for a stocking.
Childhood memories, they are so precious! I don't think I have any photos of my dolls and I had a ton!
Fond memories are precious. Even if it was something insignificant. Sadly only a few had the foresight to collect them! Great pics Karen!

LOVE the quote and I am currently enjoying my childhood. My camera and I refuse to grow up. :)
My childhood memories involve lots of running around and exploring in wooded areas--sadly of which no longer exist around where I was raised.
Wonderful memories Karen, now you have me thinking... I think one of my earliest fun memories is when I would have been about 2, maybe closer to 3, and my daddy would start up his HUGE tractor with the bucket on the front and he would give us girls rides up and down. I also recall going through the hilly pasture in the shiny new baby blue pick up truck. Dad would go up and down those hills speeding like a rocket into space and my stomach would do the flippy flop thing... to this day when I'm driving down a hill and my stomach does that I smile as it takes me back to the memories of my youth.
Thanks for the post, some wonderful memories resurfaced and now I can head off into my day, hopefully ready to write! Cheers!
