"Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Living in Minnesota one learns that even if the current weather isn't to your liking, have no fear it won't last.
Saturday was a perfect day for doing outdoorsy things. Although, we were warned to do it quickly because Sunday our temperatures would drop 30 degrees!
Yikes. This morning, Monday and back to school for all the munchkins I woke up to a chilling -15 degrees!
So it's back to layers, heavy coats and hats and mittens and all that winter jazz.
Of course they say, if you want to dance you have to put on your dancing shoes-
boots maybe?
Oh what the heck, why not just dress up like one of your favorite cartoon characters and forget about the weather.
This won't last.
Nature has it's way of coming around the bend.
You just have to wait for it.
Patience.
"Why is patience so important? Because it makes us pay attention."
- Paulo Coelho

you're getting an easier winter this year than last, but still, i remember they always lasted forever. :)
We're a toasty 26 degrees in Berkeley Springs right now. Much warmer than you, but still cold compared to yesterday's 51...

Lucky you Thunder! Did you ever even get snow yet this year?
OOOO what a tasty post, and Coelho quote!

Ain't that the truth! Sub-zero wind chill here in Michigan. I'm wearing fingerless gloves to type. Or as I tell myself, "Suck it up, Buttercup!"
Beastly cold, but we aren't getting more snow tonight, thank goodness. My little dog hates walking on the cold snow/ice.
Please keep the cold to yourself, Minnesota. ;-) Don't keep sending it to Wisconsin. lol
Somehow you manage to make this cold weather seem like fun. I enjoyed the photos and the quotes.. I trying patiently to wait for spring.. Have a happy day!
