"I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person."

Cabin-Fever (a common-winter-disorder Floridians never get)
Where perfectly fit and sound human beings (and a handful of animals)
unexpectedly get caught inside the eeriest realm within the boundaries of their own house. Even large rooms begin to feel unbelievably small. Their normalcy becomes inflicted with sudden periods of intense fear, and they believe
that their frozen tundra of an existence may never melt away. So they panic.
Or worse yet, mind-boggling bouts of unreality may brutally strike at the weakest of moments and the only hope for survival is-
sensing a blissful awakening budding from the pit of their tummy and,
reaching for
a musical clown.
Yes, this has saved a good many cabin-fevered individuals. Thank goodness.

What cute figurines! You're probably having about the same weather as we are, and today is sunny. Sunny is always so much better than the alternative. Sun gives us hope. AND the days are getting longer. I know that there's an end to winter in sight because we've got about 10 seed catalogs now.
Hi Karen, your post today - so empowering! This 'frozen tundra of an existence' really can catch us if we let it! Love clowns! Missing go to circus all the time! Should find some for sure! Thank you!
I'm happy you stopped by my blog Karen.
Luv those clowns;
Have nice Saturday
much love...
well, these are cute and quaint clowns! :) good luck with the rest of that fever, though! :)
Oh it is much too early in the season for cabin fever to set in here. We still have most of January, all of February and much of March to go...possibly even a bit of April.
I have never lived in an area where I have cabin fever. Glad the clowns help. They are lovely figurines.
For some reason, my grandson is afraid (or as he says, he doesn't like) clowns. Not sure why.
That's why I blog, Karen- for that happy feeling :) Many thanks for sharing your smiles.
Kilroy said, "I never found the gnome."
I'm not sure I have ever experienced "cabin fer" though sometimes I have joked about having it. Maybe it's because I'm an introvert and actually LIKE being by myself...or because I MAKE myself go outdoors unless the weather is truly awful. Interesting post, though!
Obviously laughter is not something easily provoked. Good for the giver and better still for those receiving them. Great thoughts Karen!

I need a good smile today, so thanks for this. And thanks, too, for your visit to the Gypsy and recent comments. I'm so glad you liked "Into the Woods," too. I didn't know if Disney could pull it off -- but they did.
