Am I wrong to think some fresh paint and window glass is asking for too much? I believe it deserves saving, being built in 1860 (very few buildings carry that fame) conserving the Freight House history is key.

wow. poor old thing!
such lovely old stuff deserves some preservation
Sadly, not everyone appreciates historical landmarks.
We have not anymore station anymore in my next town.
Sad isn't it.

I got news for Tom--girls love trains, too!
Don't you bet that that place has seen a lot come and go through its doors!!!
I'm with you, Karen.

It's a shame and a fresh coat of paint would spruce it right up.
It definitely deserves saving. My wife and I saved an 1869 schoolhouse one time in New Hampshire. The rafters had the name of the students carved into it. They were simply going to level it. That is awful. That is a great building.

Not sure if paint would be enough, it looks like there's need of some structural repair as well.
I totally agree! A building that old should have already been preserved. What a shame.
Yes, save it! I like your railroad shots.
Great photos. I love taking shots of run-down old buildings.
Seriously, Karen - Tuesdays are rubbish? I think they're quite pleasant, really ;)
You are right, it should be saved. Those wooden planks and beams carry far too much history to be left to decay.
You are not wrong in thinking that. Buildings do need a little love.
awwww, just needs a little tlc. i love when communities are able to preserve these buildings, we have several in our town that have been beautifully restored!!!!
I agree, it's very sad when such history is just allowed to decay.
A great bit of history! Yes, worth saving!
Love your photos, Karen, and I agree, it is definitely worth preserving.
Lovely, the railroad and ramshackeled old house, they are beautiful.
Oh! That old building should have been preserved for sure.
I love that first shot. So rustic.
