This week Carmi is turning our cameras inside out so to speak! So grab whatever device and let's show off our shooting stuff!
"For me, the camera is a sketch book, an instrument of intuition
and spontaneity."
Henri Cartier Bresson
Here, hubby and I are having a shooting dual!
It's a face to face- shoot-off!
"People spot a big black lens, and they worry about what they're doing, or how their hair looks. Nobody sees the person holding the camera."
Erica O'Rourke
Unless there's a mirror clearly reflecting the photographer.
Catching a live action shot!
Below are three devices I shoot with.
On being faithful to your lens-
Henri Cartier-Bresson shot with several lenses while on assignment working for Magnum, but he only shot with a 50 mm lens when shooting for himself. He took his pictures for decades with that one lens allowing his camera to become an extension of his eye.

Ha! Fun shots!
I don't know that I could limit myself to a 50mm lens like Henri Cartier-Bresson. Well. I can for a day? Hmmm. Maybe not. I ought to try it for half an hour to see how I can handle it. ;))
Cute pictures! I have the exact pink Coolpix.
Hello, I enjoyed these fun shots and post. Especially the ones with you and the grandkids. Have a happy day!
Fun, Karen.
I like this series, Karen!
(I want another camera for distance shots, but it's not in the budget yet.)

Great shot--I am taking more and more photos with an iphone... but I also have a Fiji waterproof camera and a Nikon DSLR
Interesting! Love photos with mirror! Thanks for stopping by :)
Love it. I happily hide behind my camera. Often. A weapon I want to be on the 'right' side of. Always.
What a fun post! I love your collection of working cameras. I often hide behind the camera in crowds and become the "unofficial photographer." Much easier!
i like your trio of 'tools'. :)
A great collection of cameras. I sometimes think that the pictures people take with their iphones are better than my "proper camera" ones!
Wonderful captures.
Thanks for the lessons, Karen!
Aloha
I would like to get Arlynda a really good camera someday.
What a really cool post! I have a Cool Pix, but am not happy with this second one. I loved the first, but it wore out. I am kinda' lost now.
You may have just inspired me to get out the camera more often and take pictures of something besides food! :D
Taking shots in a bathroom with a large mirror in the vicinity can lead to all sorts of embarrassments as I have found out to my costs. I like that Bresson quote a lot.
That's a great Superman costume. He looks so big & strong. Up, up & away!!! Does modern day Superman still say that. Haven't watched the movies, I still remember it from the original B&W TV days. Actually I remember the day Dad set up our 1st ever TV. Can't remember how old I was, probably about 7 or 8 I s'pose but when he finally turned it on there was Superman in all his B&W Glory. I was amazed!!!
