"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird, I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."
George Eliot
Happy October everyone!
AND
Alabama
In case you wonder where I am next week I'll be visiting my daughter and her family's new stomping grounds in Alabama. So blogging will be on hold until I return next Sunday evening.
I'll be gathering critter and Good Fences among other treasures of Alabama.
Have a wonderful Sunday and a positively delightful week in all that you do. I'll miss my normal postings and all of your daily postings as well. So, take good care of you until I return.
Oh can't forget my critter!
I saved these photos from the Renaissance Festival just for Eileen's Saturday's Critter post.
What is this shadowy like sleuth moving ever so slowly right next to me?
Is it friend or foe?
It's all about people loving critters.
Absolutely, the best grouping of "the undesirables" and also totally delightful critters to grace the festival!
In case you didn't know, I am a huge fan of everything at the Renaissance Festival.

Happy October, Karen.
Happy travels.
And yes, that is a charming smile...
Hello Karen!:) The Renaissance Festival looks so interesting, getting to know about the undesirables is a good idea, I like your last shot,--- what a nice smile!
Have fun and don't get swept away by the Crimson Tide :)
We have a few of those "critters" in my neighborhood.
I hope you have a wonderful time in Alabama.
Hope you have a great time visiting in Alabama!
In a few weeks we are going to see these guys live in the Everglades.
Greetings,
Filip
Love your critter! Have fun with your family in AL--it's my home state and one I love dearly. My brother is living in Athens now. Anyway, the Renaissance Festival here is so expensive! We've never gone because by the time you pay for four adults and two kids there would be nothing left for any other activities for at least two or three months! I have always wondered why this is...if they charge for booth space for the vendors the place is making some money...they could bring the entrance fee down some!
happy October!!!!!!!
Today you have made me grateful we do not have alligator and crocodiles. Although some of nature's beauty I prefer to see them in pictures.
Great shots.
He's got a happy smile!

I think your trip to Alabama sounds terrific -- lots of fun and lots of hugs and family time! Have the best of times, try to stay dry and we'll look forward to your posts when you return!
I think he has a lovely smile :)
I hope you have a good time down in the deep south. Will you be going as far as L.A. (Lower Alabama)?
Ah, that critter is a handsome fella! Hope you're having a wonderful time.
Hello, cool shots of the gator. I hope you have a wonderful week away. I am sorry I am so late commenting, I've been away. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post! Have a happy weekend!
Sweet home Alabama! I'm a huge fan of summer, I don't really understand Eliot's bird. Autumn reminds me of winter (brrr).
