Welcome to THEMATIC PHOTOGRAPHIC
Carmi, offers Cold as our theme this week.
So here it is-
I begin from a vast emptiness cold as ice
with Frosty.
A fierce, biting-glacial-coldness surrounded him
deep outside my house.
But he's not in denial, see his smile?
Sure Frosty knew his humans lingered
(inside swimming in uncrushable excitement)
while sipping and clinking their glasses of

while sipping and clinking their glasses of
cinnamon Kinky Flame.
A most delicious, hot fusion of premium Canadian Whiskey over ice
warming their very souls.
Frosty could not blame
Frosty could not blame
them for shutting him out in the
fierce, biting-glacial-coldness
fierce, biting-glacial-coldness
it keeps him together in this
COLD

winter air.
So, life continued out in the cold dampness of Frosty's backyard -
Where he stood proud, he was after all, a stone-cold-frozen snowman in his own winter moment.

Although,
during this spell of cold air consuming the backyard
Blue Jays and Cardinals flew in, just to bask
in a cold pocket of air
dining on tasty offerings
living in their moment-
and still
In this oppressive air one might ask
Is Frosty
stuck on the moon

In this oppressive air one might ask
Is Frosty
stuck on the moon
or just in my backyard?
See Mr. Cardinal?
Will the real snowman please stand up!
and so life continues-
In the misty morning light,
with a
hovering rising Fahrenheit
by the frosty snowbank.
Any place is all right
as long as you are there
with a dream of spring in sight.

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day and stay warm.

we've had sooooo much snow and i have not made one snowman or snow angel. i need to get busy!!! great representations for cold!!!
I thought we were supposed to be in the 30s today. When I looked at the thermometer about 7:30, it was MINUS two. What's the deal??? All our Frosty snowmen are sick and tired of maintaining that frozen pose and smile on their faces. Just let me melt!!! I see that one of yours has a death wish already.
That whiskey sounds like it could wake you up.
You couldn't have taken better photos to record "cold!" Wonderful -- I simply cannot resist a snowman!
At least the days are getting longer!
Pleasure to see a true, jolly snowman, while here in the subtropics in February the temperatures soar and humidity prevails. So much fun making a snowman, watching him, and he watches us, sadly as the days lose their freeze he becomes smaller and smaller until one day it is goodbye until next year. Memories from my life in Switzerland.
hooray for whiskey! and bourbon! and cognac! anything to warm the cockles of your heart on a cold night! :)
I like all these Frosties.
Cold and cute.
Delightfully kinky
All snow and cold here too ~ Smiling at the snowman Frosty ~ Keep warm and yes, I am looking forward to spring~
Cold - but so very, very beautiful.
My favourite snowman is the one in the 1st photo. But he does need a good weight lifting program to build his skinny arms up
Oh, I love those snowmen!! Great shots, as usual, and delightfully different!
I can handle the cuteness of all these snowfellas, FROM my warm indoors!! I'm a wuss when it comes to cold; not to mention that white stuff that makes driving hazardous.
Fantastic post, Karen. Mr Frosty is a star.
I think Frosty has his own inner glow Karen, he has a blush on his cheeks.. what can he be thinking about :)
I enjoyed you 'shots'
NBC National News had a segment on a couple of Minnesota brothers, who made a huge octopus out of snow. Their efforts were awesome, but having that much snow to work with would not be so good (I would think).
As a Minnesotan, you're well qualified to respond to the topic, "Cold" :)
Would you mind keeoing the cold on your side of the world, so that we could have a permanent summer? I do so hate winter...
Those crazy Canadians sure know how to make whiskey, don't they?
Wait a sec, I AM Canadian :)
I love this series, Karen. You always manage to infuse such spirit into your photography - something we can all learn from. Thank you for that!
