Greetings and welcome to a few miscellaneous captures and thoughts on winter's farewell.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! (says pretty much every Minnesotan today) Who cares what the groundhog said, let me finish plowing more snow."
We love to live and live to love.... (new attitude) my constant earworm for me lately.
Yep, my fine oiled, subconscious(fully adjusted-grown-up) mind keeping me well balanced. Especially, required after a call from your daughter in Alabama announcing it's 70 degrees, she's in flip-flops and reading outside.
and then-
you experience another blissful occasion being lost on a pure-white-sandy beach- when suddenly reality enters and you discover-
you're enjoying another astonishing post from a writer friend living in Florida .
...and- Obviously it's always an awe-inspiring aloha that even
your wildest imaginations could never dream up a vision as stunning as our dear friend Cloudia shares daily from her own blog as well. She puts us in a constant Mahalo state of being. Mauka and Maka, meaning, toward the mountains, and towards the ocean, (two locations that recharge my soul) thank-goodness for my memory of them both.
Note to self- take more vacations.
So yeah, I'll keep chanting
love to live and live to love.... over and over
an totally settle for being that child locked within me for another day.
Come and play!
But bring an extra shovel! (Just kidding we have plenty)

Promise them hot-chocolate or whiskey!
Yes, Virginia yesterday was groundhog day.
Not sure I believe in him anymore though. We'll see in six weeks whether he's spot on or not.
Can our Minnesota day to day life be described as
that of a melting snowman?
Here one day and gone the next?
So, gather up your critter friends.
One thing you must always remember,
something Albert Schweitzer wrote-
something Albert Schweitzer wrote-
"Each patient carries his own doctor inside him. We are at our best when we give the doctor who resides within each patient a chance to go to work."
This post has been my doctor at work.

Recharge-Breakfast
Hubby prepared delicious omelets!
If we feel it, we can heal it. Enjoy your cup of icicles, or whatever!
just before our inner feelings hit bottom we dear Minnesota family and friends, remember what it looked like the day before all this perfectly, perfect white-stuff fell-
bringing sunshine again for all.
bringing sunshine again for all.
not just another grey morning, but a morning with fog as thick as peppermint-patty cotton-candy.
"At times our own light goes out
and is rekindled by a spark from another person.
Each of us has cause to think
with deep gratitude of those who
have lighted the flame within us."
Albert Schweitzer
You my dear friends rekindle my light while we share a bit of life together.
Thank you for stopping by, enjoy your new day today!

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'd love some of your snow as we had the merest dusting & I haven't made a snowman in ages!
I too am hoping the groundhogs are right this year!
i don't think i could do those winters again. :)
A hubby that makes omelets that beautiful is a keeper.
I am deeply grateful to you. And admire your pluck in facing winter.
i love winter, i love snow....and that sign, i want one!!!
the omelet looks yummy, i have been making them a lot!!!!
We have had it very mild again this winter so far, but I have had to play golf in the snow during the first of May in high school. So, it ain't over yet!
Glorious photos, Karen! You are really the optimist! I'm grateful that I had time today to recover after yesterday driving...ohoho!
Thanks for sharing a bit of winter with me!
Dreary weather can drag you down. Not much snow for your state, is it?
Stay safe.
Beyond beautiful. Perhaps if you built a snowWOMAN the snow would stay shovelled?
What a great post, I enjoy your writing. I am hoping the groundhog is correct and we will have an early spring. I like the winter tips, we had a nice neighbor dig us out. Great series of photos and the omelet looks delish! Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
You packed a lot of fun and also deep stuff into this post Karen, lots to think about... AND the desire for an omelette :)
'Astonishing'
I'm astonishing. Pats self on back.
I saw the gnome. I love gnomes...
...and clouds, and trees...and critters....
(thanks for the wonderful mention :)
Wow - love the spirit of this - it perked me up today - and I was already doing great - but now I'm greater! Thanks again.
