Think Warm + Cozy = Hygge
Ah yes, the quiet moments of fall and winter.
Check out one of the places we've gone to experience Hygge here.
Greetings
May Happiness and Goodness
follow you everywhere you go!
Welcome
2017
The way things are around here, at the moment.
(Tla ordinary snow)
What they say is coming our way.
The world is quiet here.
(Penstla - the idea of snow)
Like a blanket of snow everywhere we go.
(Kayi - drifting snow)
"The Eskimos had fifty-two names for snow
because it was important to them;
there ought to be as many for love."
Margaret Atwood
It seems though, the older I get the thoughts and dreams and hopefulness of what's coming after this frozen tundra moments of a Minnesota winter-
This is so where my thoughts wander off to.
With visions like this photo above.
No time for Grinchness around here.
"Blast this Christmas music. It's joyful and triumphant."
Grinch quote
Let someone catch your inner Grinch and set him free!
"We love life, not because we are used to living,
but because we are used to loving."
Friedrich Nietzsche
And never ever, cry the blues when Winter Elves leave
but because we are used to loving."
Friedrich Nietzsche
And never ever, cry the blues when Winter Elves leave
Because they'll be back!
"He who has a why to live
can bear almost any how."
Friedrich Nietzche
Thank you for your friendship and for spending time
and sharing bits of you,
with me too.

I so love the concept of Hygge. I think if I was getting a pet right now I would name it Hygge. These are wonderful pix and a lovely post. Happy New Year, Karen!
Hello, Hygge sounds wonderful. I am cozy and warm here in Florida, it is close to 80° today. I love the pretty scenes, the kiddies and images. There should not be Grinchness any time. I wish you and your family all the best in 2017, Happy New Year!
I think your adventures are right up my alley.
i really adore the snow - we haven't gotten any yet. i must google hygge, i had no idea - and my spell check is confused as well!!!

The list of different names for snow is incroyable Karen, did they have a name for 'snow that never has a chance of happening.. ie Perth snow π Can you believe 41C here tomorrow! Once again, all the best for 2017 ππ
I loved learning about those different names for snow! And I've been exploring that 'hygge' atmosphere too!
I'm ready for spring!
Love the photos...and the Atwood quote.
Sweet photos, Karen. May the Grinch be banished forever!
And yes, we're getting that same cold drifting into NW Wisconsin. And I don't like it a bit. But it can't last forever, right? :-)
