WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY
This week we've been given two photos to write about, the following is my take.
Don't Leave The Driveway
without stopping inside.
What you see, isn't always what you get.
(photo supplied by Margaret's friend Bill )
If you judge by outward appearance alone,
you might miss destiny's gift.
Give me what many call that shamble of a shack
resting down the lane a piece.
It waits in the heart of a sunny grove
under the space of blue skies above.
Feel the gentle breeze reveal
you are not rich until your heart is rich.
Sticks, stones, boards and broken glass matter not.
Silently drink from nearby windows.
(photo supplied by Margaret's friend Bill)
Discover the windows in your world, and raise the blinds.
Feel as you stand before the outdoors in that very moment
watchful of the looking glass before you
you know it's not the shelter but the people who love you
that creates the solid structure
of your weary soul.
Revel in it
spark enthusiasm
be uncrushable
enamor yourself with gladness.
"The purpose of life is a life of purpose.
Robert Byrne
Somewhere over the endless snowbanks of winter
where silent snowflakes cover evergreens
and that old wood pile waits
for us to gather a splinter
of wood to build a fire of hope
and dreams of winter's end.
But, if the reaches
of springtime seems too far from reach
then worry not and venture out into your secret garden
(you know that very special place or patio just for you)
that only you design
just for these very lost moments in life.
"What you seek is seeking you."
Rumi
Sometimes, in the most unlikely of places.
It's quite blissful out here wouldn't you agree?
If you care to share, where is your favorite, secret go to place?
Thanks for stopping in your visits mean so much to me.

Ahh...beautiful.
My secret place...it is not a place, but peace that is beyond understanding.
Hello, I always try not to judge by appearances. I have a lot of favorite places but none are actually secret. I enjoyed your post and the quotes.

I like the 'silent snowflakes hiding the wood pile'...but my favorite by far is : If you judge by outward appearance alone,
you might miss destiny's gift.

Beautiful posts.
I would absolutely never judge a book by it's cover ever, too many mistakes to be made there 😀 Always love the Rumi quotes. Super post Karen, have the best weekend ☺
