Solvitur ambulando and Critters of Course

Welcome.

"Set your course by the stars
not by the lights of every passing ship."
ONB

Solvitur ambulando Latin phrase which means
It is solved by walking,
(and it is used to refer to problem which
is solved by a practical experiment.)

It was something enjoyed by all
Northfield, Minnesota's Winter Walk.

Bright, lovely carolers, lighting the way
 through a chilly evening.

and Saturday's Critters
with Eileen

Hello. Purr, purr. Meow.
As a matter of fact, "No comment  (a cat's thing)
is a splendid expression. I am using it again and again."
Winston Churchill

"When the owls sings, the night is silent."
Charles de Leusse

This, is my new secret ornament to hide this year, in our Christmas tree.
Out with the old traditional "pickle" for us this year, rather bring in the forest critters. (stuffed of course)

What do we have here?

Christmassy time of the year.
 Especially when everything is running
happy and smooth
like every new season.

Chilling, until he leads Santa's sleigh.

This happy little Scarecrow Elf is
almost ready to brighten someone's day.

Of course, you can dream of rich, smooth and velvety chocolate.
The Elves have it covered.

Sharing silly little secrets over hot chocolate
after a wild chilly evening of sledding!

Let your feet lead (solvitur ambulando) you to new adventures.

A bit of glass blowing for that perfect self-made ornament.

Horse drawn sleigh rides all night long
 at Northfield's Winter Walk.
Truly delightful.

Yep, it's all about the critters on these adventures. Meet every dog, never pass up a conversation with a horse or two either.

Apples. If only these folks remembered to bring apples.

"Real poetry, is to lead a beautiful life.
To live poetry is better than to write it."
Basho

Every Girl Scout designed their own boat to race!
Lyra is exceptionally proud of hers.

"I must take issue with the term, "a mere child"
for it has been my invariable experience that the
company of a mere child is infinitely preferable
to that of a mere adult."
Fran Lebowitz

"What is a man's eye, but a machine
 for the little creature
that sits behind his brain to look through."
Samuel Butler

Whatever and where ever you are-
let joy fill your heart
and sounds make you lighter
"The temple bell stops
but I still hear the sound coming out of the flowers."
Basho
and the hearts of mankind.

She lights the way to freedom
showing us the path to liberty.

Come, see the true
flowers of this pained
world.
Matsuo Basho

Thanks for stopping by, sorry I've been posting so few posts, it's a busy time with work and catching as many adventures as we can.
Take good care of you.

Hello, what a fun evening being led by the carolers lighting the way. Purring hello to the kitty. I especially love a Christmas tree filled with forest critters. Rudolph looks to be really chilling there. Cute kiddies sharing secrets over cups of hot chocolate. I think the horses are missing the apples, must remember the apples next year. Cute post and photos. Thanks so much for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day and week ahead.

Solvitur Ambulando is one of my life’s mottos... And, if I had the time, I think I’d enjoy glass blowing.
