Always do your part.
You just never know when your compassion and empathy
is extremely vital.
On the ending of a wonderful family day and incredible 70 something degree sunny day we walked to a nearby park where I encountered a blown-out-of-proportion situation. Apparently 3 twenty-something individuals felt the need to call law enforcement to remove this extremely dangerous dog from the park.
The officer seemed to agree, but if you know me at all I immediately came to this poor pups aid and clearly his loving nature prevailed. Yes! First I know that owners must be responsible, I don't care how old your beloved pet is and that he knows his way home, and loves visiting folks at the park, go there with him. We brought ours on a leash. Our world has far too many, so they believe to be well-doers doing their job- they totally lack knowledge, understanding-empathy.
So just how scary is this cute, (on actual sight he walks very slowly) ?
No one is useless in this world
who lightens the burden of it for anyone else.

I am such a believer in knowing that we are all here for reasons and we must keep doing our part of meeting those reasons for every living thing that crosses our path. We all matter. Keep on, keeping on it's all we can do with compassion and not self-righteousness.
Hello Karen,
I always enjoy your uplifting post. I love the inspiring quotes and images. Does the doggie have a home? Poor pup! Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Have a great new week ahead.
I'm glad you took a stand for the dog! They too need compassion...they have feelings. But, what was the outcome?
And, amen to ALL the quotes and art (tho, I am not sure abiut the plywood exibit)
Typos...sorry
I am wary of ferocious-looking puppies myself. He looks tough! :-/ But also sweet. Ha ha!
Recently, I was walking at a park with my kids. A man was walking his friendly-looking chocolate lab. It started to growl at us as we passed...and kept growling. Weirdly, I had just days before dreamt of a growling thing jumping on me from behind. Isn't that bizarre? Because of the dream I led my kids to the side and told them we'd let the dog go on by. The man seemed embarrassed and assured me she was fine. "You can go," he pleaded like he really, really didn't want me to overreact. Sigh. He did not seem to understand going ahead was totally not what I wanted to do. I wasn't being mean or angry, promise. Ha ha!! Well, we went ahead and left. I think the man felt bad, but we were actually going to leave anyway. Dog was still growling...
The pooch in your photo looks friendly, but I bet he could look scary too. Just saying! Glad you were there to put everyone at ease!
I don't bother about dogs loose in the park unless they come up and growl or bark at me, or chase the bike. ( I was very terrified as a young child by a loud barking dog near our house which used to hurl itself at the gate as I passed by and I never quite got over that fear when a dog barks at me, so I can barely stop myself shrinking away when a dog rushes up to me. It's a kind of conditioned thing, I suppose.) I love your quotes - always so much wisdom.
Thank you for supporting that elderly pooch. Which doesn't surprise me.
And thank you as always for your positive, quirky, beauty filled post.
Oh he looks adorable Karen, surely such a sweet face couldn't frighten anyone 😊 Another super positive post. Enjoy your week 💙
What a beautiful pup. I hope he found his way home.
The pup was lucky that you were there to stand up for him!
Good for you for being there for that pup... He looks old, but content.
