Winter at The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

Just because Minnesota is known for it's very long winters and with spring inching closer (54 degrees today) I thought I'd share a few snowy moments for you all. Posting for City Daily Photo

I shot this photo on Tuesday, just a wee bit of ice and snow in places, but the next photos to follow sums up a typical winter trek around the sculpture garden.

Have a seat.

Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream,
so shall you become. Your vision is the promise
of what you shall at last unveil.
John Ruskin

Just another day in the life of a statue in the garden.
On this day dampness filled the air and snowflakes fell gently upon his face.

and a few months later he's still out there waiting and willing to greet visitors.

A wide angle view of sails sparkling white against a cobalt sky
as light dances, silver on the water. Like art, it soothes the edge,
allowing you to see something simple from a different perspective.
Laurie Nadel

Wait, you've never met a blue snowman before today?

I believe that a simple and unassuming
manner of life is best for everyone, best both for
the body and the mind.
Albert Einstein

Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence,
and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content.
Helen Keller

What living in Minnesota ( I was born and raised in Michigan, and a short time in St. Louis) is that Minnesota winters have taught me this,

Nature shows that it's better to bend than to break.

Thanks for stopping by and
Take good care of you.
