Statues Clowns and Critters for Saturday

What could be more uplifting than statues, clowns and critters and not necessarily in that order? They rock my world how about you? I'm posting to City Daily Photo and

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

All the critters in our lives teach us so much of what we know.

Be like your dog and chase you sense of wonder.

"Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man's desire to understand."
Neil Armstrong

"No matter what your heartache may be, laughing helps you forget it for a few seconds." Red Skelton

Have you ever watched a Meerkat rub against a rock?
Here's why, they are marking their territory.

"To become the king of your territory you must not allow any of your time pass without converting it into building your skills in that area of life."
Sunday Adelaja

Showing off!

"When you consider things like the stars, our affairs don't seem to matter very much, do they?" Jennifer Niven

Now how about those statues I promised?

For me it's all about statues that someone somewhere took the initiative to create just for us to discover and they're everywhere. I don't just enjoy the statue itself but the story or history behind it. Discover and unravel new things.

These are all works of art performed by Jonathan Borofsky.

Ballerina Clown on Rose Avenue in Venice Beach, California

I recently rediscovered him, it seems life always brings on other more important things and my research of sculptor, Jonathan Borofsky fell behind to collect dust. I'm only sharing three of his statues waiting to be noticed, there are so many more. Honestly, a road-trip-extravaganza is really a possibility. Someday. Of course, it's not his statues alone, take Venice Beach, California there are notably 25 things to see right off.

The Dancers

"Dance and sing to your music. Embrace your blessings. Make today worth remembering."  Steve Maraboli

Meet "Hammering Man" from his series of monumental kinetic sculptures and it represents, "the working man." Since this installation in 1992 it's logged some 90,000-minute striking 4 times a minute.

"When you take the free will out of education, that turns it into schooling."  (Boring right?)
John Taylor Gatto quotes

Imagine if artists, sculptors, and writers and such never applied free will to their work?

" Good things happen to the human spirit when it is left alone."

John Taylor Gatto

What happy dogs know. Watch and follow by example.

Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy your weekend whatever it may be.
and take good care of you.

I agree we finally had a normal spring day but oh my all my blossoms and flowers have a long road to haul yet.

I know right, it’s probably offensive to some and hopefully hasn’t scared too many kiddos. In my research this artist has made that same clown ballerina and has them in Europe as well.
