You Are Here and Now with Critters

 Welcome to another post for

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

Good morning, everyone!

Spring? Yes, finally we seem to have slipped into spring and yet with our coming temperatures it may be more like summer. I'm good with that. I'm also posting to City Daily Photo.

Like I've got my eyes on you squirrel, Rusty. The trusty groundskeeper.

"The mind must be interested or absorbed in something, just as a mirror must always be reflecting something. When it is not trying to be interested in itself, as if a mirror would reflect itself, it must be interested, or absorbed, in other people or things."

Get your camel face on!

"You have to be willing to spend time making things for no reason."

Lynda Barry

and play, play away the day sometimes.

"The here and now is all we have, and if we play it right, it's all we need."

Ann Richards

Misty you are a picture of beauty, even if you're still trying to forget being at the groomers again.

"We don't create a fantasy world to escape reality. We create it to be able to stay." Lynda Barry

"Are memories pictures or the secret doorway?"

Lynda Barry

To be forever looking beyond is to remain blind to what is here.

Dash getting his groove on.

A boy and his dog.

"I am grateful to those who are keepers of the groove. The babies and the grandmas who hang on to it and help us remember when we forget that any kind of dancing is better than no dancing at all."

Lynda Barry quotes

"On stuck status? Don't crush the groove, bust a move."

T. F. Hodge

and "The sky is not my limit, I am."

Note to self, for situations like this, always carry more quarters in your pocket.

"I believe a kid who is playing is not alone. There is something brought alive during play, and this something, when played, seems to play back."

Lynda Barry

"One who will not accept solitude, stillness and quiet recurring moments, is caught up in the wilderness of addictions; far removed from an original state of being and awareness. This is dis-ease."

T. F. Hodge

Spring, and so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer. From The Great Gatsby

Oh I love these quotes. I am making junk journals and every time I mention them to one of my 'kids', they laugh kind of funny! Like Mom is losing it! haha! But it IS fun to make something just for the fun of it. Enjoy your weekend!
