Critters and Mystery Flower

 Welcome to another

 SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and I'm also posting to City Daily Photo

It feels like the days are slipping away too quickly it's hard to believe it's already June 4th! Only yesterday it seems I was shivering and standing in traces of fresh fallen snow, and it was April.

Welcome again, one of my favorite pups, one of my daughter's dogs!

When it's hot Artemis calls this, her happy place.

"Encourage me and I will not forget you."

William Arthur Ward

"Keep away from people who belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great."

 Mark Twain

"Flatter me, and I may not believe you."
William Arthur Ward

"Criticize me and I may not like you."

William Arthur Ward

Say hello to my wee little Gnome way down below.

"We all have an unsuspected reserve of strength inside that emerges when life puts us to the test." Isabel Allende

"You will do foolish things,

but do them with enthusiasm." Colette

"We only have what we give."

Isabel Allende

Meet my beautiful, and unusual to me flower of the month. What attracts me most in a flower shop is any flower that I have no idea what it is, and most likely never saw it before.

Kirigami Deep Blue and White Columbine

"Since my childhood I have been creative in weird ways. When I see a gadget, say a blender, I imagine how I can use it for something else." Isabel Allende

"I'm more interested in arousing enthusiasm in kids than in teaching the facts. The facts may change, but that enthusiasm for exploring the world will remain with them the rest of their lives." Seymour Simon

I can relate to this quote.
"Each of us chooses the tone for telling his or her own story, I would like to choose the durable clarity of a platinum print, but nothing in my destiny possesses the luminosity. I live among diffuse shadings, veiled mysteries, uncertainties; the tone of telling my life is closer to that of a portrait in sepia." Isabel Allende

I appreciate your visits, and I miss so many of us that once were here and now they're not. Busy? Perhaps. Lost, maybe, we could send a lifeline, but will they catch it?

Know that your visits and comments give pleasure to all that read them, not just me.

Take good care of you.

Love your columbine - which I grew up hearing being called 'grannies bonnets'. Those spikes contain sweet nectar too.
Thank you, as always, for focusing my eye on the beautiful. And reminding me just how much of it there is.

I was reading your comment on Sue's blog about your peacock. My daughter lives not too far from Grant's Farm, (President Grant, https://grantsfarm.com/). They have peacocks and you can hear them at night. They are LOUD!
If you're ever in St. Louis you need to make that a stop. (free)

And our zoo. (free) And the Arch. And the Art Museum. (free on Tuesday) And Missouri Botanical Garden. And Laumeier Sculpture Park. (free) The free stuff will try and get some of your money once you're in.

Your comments always brighten my day and I especially like your heads up about some of our comments going straight to spam! In fact yours did and I clicked it as Not Spam! I hope they fix it soon.

Karen, I consider you a really good and true friend. Life is such that people do come and go. And ultimately we all go. But I want you to know that you touch me with what you share and who you are. You may have noticed I steal a lot of your quotes. And I love your photographs. Blessings my dear

I guess everyone gets busy in the summer months! But I love seeing your photos every week. The dog cooling down sounds like a good idea...it sure is HOT here in FL now!
