Winter Streets, Seize the National Day List and Critters

Misty loves snow!

Winter Streets
and

I'm also posting to City Daily Photo   and in honor of quite the National Day list for 26, February!
Beginning with, For Pete's Sake Day, National Carpe Diem Day. National Tell a Fairy Tale Day, National Pistachio Day, National Levi Strause Day, National Personal Chef Day and National Thermos Bottle Day. Who knew that about thermos bottles? Honestly a whole lot more if you google it.

Just a little note about our recent snow-blizzard my city of Lakeville got a whopping 19 inches added to our way over average total for the year. Yikes.

Snowbank Misty is her new name. She loves rolling, leaping and running through the snow, but she's not a fan of ice coating everything it can sometimes touch.

Sweet baby Jasmine.

Yes? Who needs snow when there's a warm house to roam about.

Go, kitty go! Play away and she loves being playful for any photographer too!

"At the very moment when people underestimate you is when you can make a breakthrough."
Germany Kent

Happy National Tell a Fairy Tale Day
So, if you see a fairy tell her a short fairy tale poem before she flitters away!

"Always learn poems by heart. They have to become the marrow in your bones.
Like fluoride in the water,
they'll make your soul impervious to the world's soft decay."
Janet Fitch, White Oleander

Rusty is also a fan of winter and all the snow he can find!

What more can you ask for?

"You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation."
Richard Lingard

Lou-Lou seems to be tolerating Athena's desire to play, for this moment.

Random pup on my walk today.

As for National Thermos Bottle Day, well you might think it's frivolous but yet necessary to many of us, right?

"The wind in your head is the storm in your life."
Tamerian A. Kuzgov

I hope you brought your thermos today, because seriously there's lots of sunshine but a bitterness in the air.

Once winter leaves, there'll be a wait for a table here.

The sun is always there, even if we turn our backs.

Driving home I listened to a wise DJ explain what to do when you've got the blues and feel lonely. Don't stay inside sulking. Go out anyway, even if it feels more comfortable to stay all by yourself, (sulking) go where other people are.

Thing is, "When you're feeling down,"

Live wide.

"Your worth is not what you have but who you are."

When it snows you have two choices. Shovel or make snow angels.

Or grab your sled.

So, rescue yourself, have fun in the snow!

"I am mastery," said discipline.
"I am persistence," said focus.
"I am influence," said action.
"I am character," said destiny.

Thanks for stopping in to spend this time together.
Know that you are all day brighteners in my world.
Take good care of you.

Hello Karen,

So far, we have not had to use our snow shovel this winter. You may be getting our snow there, that's ok with me. I do not mind sharing and I do not miss the snow. It is fun to see Misty and Rusty enjoying the snow, dogs actually look happy when they are running. Cute photos of all the furbabies. Great collection of inspiring quotes. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a wonderful week! PS, thanks for leaving me a comment.

Every dog I have had has loved the snow. It is always a grand thing to see them playing in the snow. Spring will be here soon.
The flowers I saw a couple of weeks ago are now buried under snow.
