I've neglected posting between a whirlwind of adventures, family and work things. Family is important, a blessing and "family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten" and it's not just blood ties. Family means many things, past, and present especially when our hearts are open.
So on to today's post for,
and City Daily Photo
My favorite thing is going where I've never been, and my second favorite thing is photographing places I've already been but shooting it differently.
"Photographers are violent people. First, they frame you, then they shoot you,
then they land you on the wall."
There's adventure waiting between raindrops.
Marius Vieth
Life is way too short for boring cars.
Some people say you need a person in every photo. I disagree.
"You don't take a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved."
Ansel Adams
"A river cuts through rock not because of its power but because of its persistence."
"A question that sometimes drives me hazy:
am I or are the others crazy?"
Albert Einstein
It's my chew toy let it go!
"If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.
Mark Twain
"It's just the most amazing thing to love a dog, isn't it? It makes our relationships with people seem as boring as a bowl of oatmeal."
John Grogan
"Animal lovers are a special breed of humans, generous of spirit, full of empathy, perhaps a little prone to sentimentality, and with hearts as big as a cloudless sky."
John Grogan
Clouds are the sky's imagination.
"When we feel stuck, look at the sky. The clouds remind us that everything changes."
"Really" I heard them whisper across the water, "Is summer really over again?"
"Cause a little bit of summer is what the whole year is about."
John Mayer
"Someday everything will make perfect sense. So for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears, be strong and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason."
John Mayer
I feel I need a few lyrics from John Mayer, maybe you do too. Here are some.
"I am an architect of days that have not happened yet.
Take all your wasted honor, every little past frustration, take all of your so-called problems, better put'em in quotations and
Keep me where the light is."
John Mayer
Thanks for spending time with me and
Take good care of you.

Hello Karen, what a delightful post! I absolutely love your rain photos! And seeing the dogs, cats, cute gnome, and variety of lovely views and fun things has brought a big smile to my face!
Thank you so much for sharing!
how beautiful it is to love the ordinary."

And so much more!
Your introduction to this week's post makes so much sense. Again your photos and quotes make my mind go places it does not usually go. Thank you for that. If I may, I will make more comments later......but for now I will get to what is required of my time.
Thank you again for the inspiration!
Hello Karen,
I always love your post, the quotes are great choices for your photos. Love the cute kitties and the dogs are favorites.
Beautiful photos! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great week ahead. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Thanks for stopping and commenting I'm happy you enjoyed it! Have a great week ahead!
Aloha Cloudia, welcome to the party of Marius, he has so many great quotes. Another favorite of mine is, "your most important gear is your eye, heart and soul." Quotes and song lyrics by various artists help ease the sting of this administration. May you have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs and for Pixie too!
Happy you could stop by and comment! Blogging (my posts and those I follow) brighten my day too. Keeping in touch matters. I know some folks live silently in their hearts perhaps they too are saddened (or incredibly angry) by this administration and we're crumbling within our hearts and where did simple common sense go? All we can do is begin fresh again as each day we're reborn. Enjoy your things and the week ahead!
Thanks Eileen I always am cheered by your nature filled posts, they are day brighteners as you always know just how to capture them in the glow of their surroundings. I hope all is well (enjoy what's left of autumn before you know what arrives) take care, Karen
It is wonderful to visit here and see all the pets, Karen. Love the quotes too.
