Imagine that grumpy vs sunshine with critters involved, must include kitty cats, right? I mean cats are known for their assertiveness, independent style and the demanding cattitude.
Certainly not the way of dogs.

Bunny alert!
Last Sunday was a blizzard. This Sunday not so much and yesterday we had a brief encounter with summer nearly reaching 80 degrees.
Darn scarves came out again this morning.

The world filled with imagination is everything.
If you won't give me treats now, then when?
There's no better feeling than the love of a dog.
It's pure, real and forever.

It was my day vacation.
The Schell's Brewery meet New Ulm's friendly peacock.
Below is my peacock. Note the difference in feathers?
My Peacock who arrived unexpectedly sometime in 2020 and he's still here. Notice he has a bit more of white feathers than the usual peacock you see.
Below are two random joy maker moments I've encountered recently.
Yes it's all about food or beverages.

Soup for one and the coffee unbelievably delicious.
From a speakeasy in Lakeville, MN.
"Every life is a dance of light and shadow. Joy and sorrow, hope and doubt. We sometimes believe that the goal is to stand forever in the light, to rid ourselves of all darkness. Yet shadowed moments have their own gifts. They teach us to recognize the depth of our experience. Without night, dawn would not be as breathtaking. Without pain, how would we feel compassion?" Ajmal

Thank you for your wonderful post which calls us back to our humanity and gratitude for simply being alive on this beautiful planet. Thank you for always making me feel a little better than when I came. Aloha. Incidentally, pixie and I are safe from the storms but darn glad they are over!
Hello Karen,
Your post is filled with joyful moments. I love the sweet dogs, give them a treat from me. It is odd how the peacocks just show up and stay for good. They are beautiful birds. Your vacation day sounds nice, it is good to be outdoors enjoying the nice weather. Beautiful photos and post. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Pumpkin Man made me smile in his firefighter outfit, and your peacock is gorgeous with those distinctive white feathers.
Love all the photos you shared.
Happy Monday!
You get around, don't you? A fun collection of images. I am struck that a peacock arrived in 2020 and never left.
Peacocks are so interesting... The weather here has yo-yo-ed, too. From snow and freezing rain to highs around 80, a day apart, and we've done this several times. It was in the 80s yesterday and we'll be back receiving a freezing mix toward the end of this week.
Thank you for letting me know, you can never be too careful when it comes to storms. I'm very happy you're both okay. Aloha to you both,
Thank you for your lovely comment and I agree as with your neighborhood peacock he must feel safe and sound being with you all, that's the key I believe. Even the wild turkeys I met in the city of Minneapolis, they are large in numbers just carefree catching bites to eat from all the various neighbors. They are smart critters! Take care, Karen
Thanks for stopping in, and it was a happy Monday especially with my day off Tuesday it makes the day fly by! Enjoy your week ahead.
Thank you for noticing, I do love to wander as often as possible. My longtime Minnesota friend told me that I know more about Minnesota and places then most Minnesotans. I have to live up to that right! It is wonderful that he's decided to stay, and keeps within our property, being fed and feeling safe is probably the main reason and he seems to enjoy hearing my voice as I can call to him. Enjoy your week!
I know isn't the weather just crazy you can a blizzard one day and 80's the next. I believe it's a good thing we can try out all the seasons and not be stuck in one! Our motto here is if you don't like the weather stick around it'll change!
So many wonderful things. We too had a random warm day and now it's back to being cold again.
i could use a few summery days. The chill doesn't want to leave us. Be well, Karen.
Happy Spring. Dogs , cats, and any
animal around is good for the soul and heart health. Not too many people in Minnesota have their own resident peacock. What do you feed him or her ?.. Been to New Ulm a few times but never found that trail you posted photos of. A lot native American history that way. Lake Shetek and Fort Ridgely state parks are around there and very picturesque as well as historical.
Thanks for the photos and inspiring words. I think we have winter beat . Enjoy !
Interesting pictures. I love the goat and the dog who owns the sofa.
