The Many Tales of Water and Critters What more could You ask for?

Good morning and welcome to my post for

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and I'm posting to City Daily Photo

My post today is all about water, be it a lake or river and I begin from lakes in Minneapolis, and surrounding suburbs. The photo below is from Centennial Lakes in Edina.

Beautiful sunny day!

Ahh the sweet face of an owl what does he see that perhaps you and I are missing?

A most curious creature the owl. A bird that stays awake while the rest of the world sleeps. I find it so interesting that they can see in the dark while the rest of the world is dreaming.

What we do is wonder, as we're calm and feeling a gentle breeze and maybe, just maybe you'll feel a tug on your line. That's when the real fun happens.

My grandson fishing on Lake Minnetonka in Wayzata, Mn.

This was yesterday on Latsch Island a few floating houses on the Mississippi River. It's an area those desiring to live off the grid have made it their home since the early 1970's.

"We're all on the same boat, in a stormy sea, and
we owe each other a terrible loyalty."

Also, from yesterday an exhibit from the MMAM, Minnesota Marine Art Museum

Those first photos were sunny, and summery. Yesterday was not as lovely. Early morning began biting cold without gloves (while taking pictures) and a rainy-snow mixture covered the roads all the way to Winona, Minnesota and grey skies all day.

I took these two photos yesterday at Prairie Moon Sculpture Garden just after Fountain Hills, Wisconsin.

"I will return here again, in the summertime."

The story behind the Pineapple Fountain in Charleston, SC

Pools and pups what's more fun than that?

Frankenmuth Michigan a city my family enjoyed many times throughout the year, not just at Christmas either. Frankenmuth is a small little village with German influence and appears like it jumped out of a storybook!

Hastings can you tell? If you're from Minnesota or Wisconsin yes you can!

Wayzata Beach on Lake Minnetonka.

Lyra and her pup Athena!

Stillwater, Minnesota

In case you're wondering, yes Athena loves the water and floaty toys!

On my first trip to Charleston, SC.

Wayzata, Minnesota

Seriously funny!

Oops! It's all fun and games until someone falls off the floatie.

This is about as far as Artemis will go inside the pool.

Don't you feel the call of the water urging you to come?

Huntsville, Alabama

Arbor Lakes, Maple Grove, Minnesota

Oldie but goodie! What's more fun than playing in water? The secret which is not so secret after all is that most of the human body is water, with an average of about 60%. No wonder we're drawn to it.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.
Take good care you.

Sit back and take it all in. I hope you all enjoy the lovely beauty of water. It's calmness and gentleness (unless you're in the middle of a rocking storm of wild waves) but the everyday lake or river or even pool waiting to be noticed and appreciated.

Hello Karen,
First being a dog lover I must say Athena and Artemis are adorable. Athena looks like she loves the float toys, it was made fore her. Cute photos of you and your grandchildren, they are growing up fast. The Lakes, Rivers and the pools all look beautiful. I love all the critters, both real, the artsy critters and sculptures. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

A fun collection of photos from around the country. I have a college friend who lives on Lake Minnetonka in Wayzata.

Fun to see all the photos you posted. The one of you especially, I have stood on that very spot many times. I have always been attracted to water no matter its state or the state its in. I hope man keeps it healthy for ages to come.
I have been to many of these spots , but have put a few down as places yet to see.
Thanks for your efforts, very much appreciated and enjoyed.
