I always take a boat ride on Lake Superior. Vista Star, and others in the Vista Fleet.

My hotel room looked straight out at Uncle Harvey's Mausoleum.
People say they take vacations, to see the sights, or a getaway from life's daily routines. I agree but there's another entire reason for me to go away, like escaping from our familiar haunts.
New adventures, even on old paths but with new eyes.

Finally, after too many years to count, I've driven or ridden past this restaurant and finally coming home on this trip I stopped, and it truly was worth it. Lazy Bear Grill in Barnum, Minnesota.
Everything is made from scratch.
Everything and anything it's all out there waiting for our attention.
Seek and you shall find.
Believe, persist and follow for we shall find the peace we seek.

A favorite place area to refresh the soul...so much to see along the north shore. I totally enjoy your quotes and photos. The drive up and back gives one what seems just the right amount of time to reflect on what has been and what is to come.
You too seek out towns off the freeway.. Isn't it wonderful to have the time and means to just see what there us to see ?

What a fun getaway! I would like the walk along the lake. Love the mural, sculptures and the lighthouse. Have you taken a horse and buggy ride? Looks fun! The moose carving and it that bigfoot, very cool. I would mind a new adventure right now. Great photos.
