Welcome to the icy remains of Rice Park in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Now on to the Crocus Hill neighborhood, Summit Avenue and other streets
around my old stomping grounds for a bit of old fashion research.
Stately old mansions of stone and the people that lived there
carry many secrets and stories.

Winter is long and hard in your part of the world but you have found some great things to look at while wandering around!
The Peanuts sculptures are excellent!
I really loved seeing the homes in the historic neighbourhoods!
I remember that Great Gatsby quote so well from my High School days!
I'm not sure where you took me, but I enjoyed the tour. Loved the statues, too.
kilroy had noting to day *shrugs*
Hello, I loved the tour too. The Peanut statues are awesome. I love the quote"Become slower in your journey through life." Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!

I love the Peanuts sculptures!
Permanent Peanuts statues?! I'm in!
Hi Ms. Karen! I loved the tour. Miss you!

what a great post, you always find the funniest stuff. and peanuts, kind of surprised me!!!!
It is so fun to drive along Summit Avenue! Those homes are just amazing. And the big churches - St. Luke's? and then to stop at Cafe Latte on Grand for a fruit tart and coffee. YUM! The St. Paul Hotel is gorgeous. Our daughter's wedding reception was held there. Our granddaughter's wedding was held in Landmark Center. There's so much to love about St. Paul.
Why would they have to take down the ice statues when nature does that for them. And it seems a bit premature to see an end of winter.
It'd be so neat to listen to the walls of the old mansions tell their secrets and stories!!
LOVE the C. Brown statues. Sweet.
