Right Under Your Nose

For our theme this month of September, (can you believe it September )

for City Daily Photo it's not as silly as you may think, so to speak. It really opens up so many possibilities.  So the meaning for "right under your nose" begins with Harry.

Or possibly, right in front of your face?

I try to fully explore my options on my day off from work, to energize and on this day I brought along a wonderful character, Harry most of you know quite well.

Be with those who help your being. Fictional or otherwise.

Right under our noses, and located at the bottom of this tree that grows along popular Lake Harriet in Minneapolis and where so many folks actually pass by without giving a moments thought to this famous Lake Harriet Elf house inside this tree.

On the subject of trees, can you spot wee little Harry in this photo below?

"At the moment when people underestimate you is when you can make a breakthrough." Germany Kent

If "Right under your nose" teaches us anything it would be this.

Speak life. See life. Don't miss seeing anything and everything that's around you.

Nothing is to unimportant to notice.

I don't know why you couldn't find it. It's right under your nose!

Right under her nose, Lyra
 plays her instrument.

"Music is the cup that holds the wine of silence. Sound is that cup, but empty. Noise is that cup, but broken." Robert Fripp

So, right under your nose, or somewhat hidden by size

is Harry out for a ride!

What I've learned from Harry and friends is simply this.

"Always aim for achievement, and forget about success." Helen Hayes.

"Success, which is something so simple in the end, is made up of a thousand things, we never fully know what."  Rainer Maria Rilke

You just never know who may cross your path (right under my nose) while at the Minnesota State Fair.

Oh please, let me get my camera out before Garrison Keillor is out of reach.

"It's a shallow life that doesn't give a person a few scars."

Garrison Keillor

and also

"I believe in looking reality straight in the eye and denying it."

and also not only right in front or rather right under my nose, live from the Minnesota Renaissance Fair is, the Mud Lady.

What we can't see are the many glittering small jewels lost in her mud pies.

She never spoke, she merely showed. Here she's offering some of those lost jewels.

"Has anyone ever produced a mirror out of mud and straw? Yet clean away the mud and straw and a mirror might be revealed." Rumi

I ask you, is Harry, at the beach with me?

Thank you so much for sharing time with me.

Keep your eyes open and take good care of you.
