Open City on Critters for Saturday

"Your life must be an open city with all sorts of ways to wander in."

 Robin Sloan

"What strange phenomena we find in a great city, all we need do is to stroll around with our eyes open. Life swarms with innocent monsters."

Charles Baudelaire

Welcome everyone, today I'm posting to SATURDAY'S CRITTERS and City Daily Photo. It's an inside and outside adventure through the city to combat the winter blues.

Rusty says, "Hello everyone!"

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."

Anatole France

"Nine tenths of education is encouragement."

Anatole France

So, my suggestion for any youngster feeling a bit sluggish, lost in an overload of work they fear will never be completed- put a camera in their hand and push them out the door.  See what they come back with. Work from there.

Camera Bug.

"For me the camera is a sketch book, an instrument of intuition and spontaneity."

Henry Cartier-Bresson

Imagine if you will a surreal adventure where you are the investigator of your life. What shall you find and where will you be?

One of my most favorite places is a bookstore, or library and since my children were young this bookstore, Wild Rumpus is home to a variety of critters as well. This photo was taken inside Wild Rumpus. They are finally open to the public again although masks are required.

"He has the strangest expression on his face, the emotional equivalent of 404 PAGE NOT FOUND."

Robin Sloan

"If you want a stable friendship, get a horse."

Out and about our yard. Critters and kiddos at play.

"Genius is nothing more nor less than childhood recaptured at will."
Charles Baudelaire

"Strangeness is a necessary ingredient in beauty."
Charles Baudelaire

"There is something about the outside
whether it be city or country
that is marvelous for the inside of man."

"I walk alone in my fantastic play,
until your next return.

Tripping on nothing, nimbly backing away,

as if on rough paving upon the street, or packed counterspace,

bumping into nothing, listening ever so intently in this race

for my next lunch.

Charles Baudelaire and our Peacock

"All the secrets of the world worth knowing are hiding in plain sight."

Robin Sloan

Did somebody say turn around please?

Facial expressions are a form of nonverbal communication and occur not just in human but also other animal species, and they have always fascinated me. Buggy's, especially. Constantly.

What is he thinking?

What is it that you are wordlessly saying?

"Whose thoughts like larks spontaneously rise
into the morning sky;
whose flight, unchecked,
out reaches life and readily comprehends
the language of flowers and of all mute things."

Please let's wander where the wi-fi is weak.

Better yet, nonexistent. Bring your camera.

It may not appear so, but on this day when I snapped this, it was horribly cold outside! We quickly went for a hot cup of cocoa.

"Many times the wrong train took me to the right place."
Paulo Coelho

Come to the city and ride our Minneapolis Light Rail.

Thanks for stopping in.
Your comments are a joy for me.
Take good care of you.

Hello,

Waving hello to Rusty! What a wonderful critter post, I love all critters the real one and the pretend critters. You are an inspiration to the young and not so young. Like me, I would like to go sledding and drink some cocoa. Love the sweet furbabies and the cute bunny. I assume you still have your adopted peacock, he does have beautiful feathers. I would enjoy the bookstore, sounds like a fun place. Great collection of photos and quotes. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
