Day Tripping and Critters on Saturday

Welcome to another City Daily Photo post and

 SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

"You don't see the world as it is, you see the world as you are."

 The Talmud

"Feeling lost, crazy and desperate belongs to a good life as much as optimism, certainty and reason." Alain de Botten

and most certainly spring is on the way. "With the coming of spring, I am calm again." Gustav Mahler

"But it's peculiar, as soon as I am in the midst of nature and by myself, everything that is base and trivial vanishes without trace. On such days nothing scares me; and this helps me again and again."
Gustav Mahler

Meet Booker from Wild Rumpus Book Store in Linden Hills.

Butterfly Girl from Linden Hill's Art Shanty Project (posting tomorrow)

"I heard a bird sing in the dark of December. A magical thing. And sweet to remember. We are nearer to Spring than we were in September. I heard a bird sing in the dark of December." Oliver Herford

I was so pleased to see that Wild Rumpus Book Store was open for us to come inside again!  They're not just a bookstore, or a place where imaginations expand and minds grow, but also home to quite a few critters as well.

The book, The Magic Bookcase by Robert Ingpen

"Books fall open, you fall in." David McCord

Meet one of the new critters to their store. For now, I'm calling her the kitty with a funny name that I can't quite recall.

Below Dash and Misty enjoying some fresh air and sunshine. For this brief moment and back to the frozen tundra temperatures.

After a few blinks and a whole lot of snow yet to fall you'll sense spring moving in again.
So, enjoy Frosty as long as you can, the melt down will soon begin again.

Don't forget your Valentine, as Valentine's Day is in nine days.

"Happiness is never an accident, it is a prize we get when we chose wisely from life's great stories."

Thank you for your visit and comments.
Please stay safe and take good care of you.

Love that quote - and yes I do often turn to nature for heart balm.
And to whimsy and fun - and your posts always provide an excellent booster dose.
