Art in Linden Hills on Lake Harriet

Have you ever had the desire to walk on water? Well here in Minnesota we do it all the time, of course it's in the middle of winter and the water is frozen but still you find yourself crossing lakes from one end to the other and sometimes viewing the latest in art projects.  Welcome to the Linden Hills Art Shanty Projects which began in January this year and ended this last weekend on Sunday, February 6th. I'm posting today to City Daily Photo. I hope you enjoy.

Linden Hills Art Shanty Projects

"Another glorious day, the air as delicious to the lungs as nectar to the tongue." John Muir

"Don't stop me now!" I'm walking on Lake Harriet, in Linden Hills, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Rascals said it best. "It's a beautiful morning. Ah. Think I'll go outside for a while. And just smile. Just take in some clean fresh air, boy. No sense in staying inside.
(Even if the temperatures are quite feisty today)
It's your chance to wake up and plan another new day."

My thoughts on the artists and their wildest dreams brought to life, and placed right here for all to absorb is simply this,

"Not being understood may be taken as a sign that there is much in one to understand." Alain de Botton

On any given day we may feel this way or that, it just depends on our mood at hand.

"Commandments of Fake Healing"
Funny stuff.

"Lovely Day."

"It's impossible to make your eyes twinkle if you aren't feeling twinkly yourself."
Roald Dahl

What's within all the ribbons?

Really. "Those that don't believe in magic will never find it."- Roald Dahl

"Don't gobblefunkle around with words." Dahl
Just get on a bike and ride.

"We have more than enough time to carve our own path across the lake."

Take time to meet new friends. It's essential to your happiness.

Take time to simply stop and listen, you just may learn something you never knew existed.

Remember some of the tales they spin around the ice just might be make-believe. Or are they? It's all about enjoying the journey.

If you're feeling blue, it means you haven't explored enough.
Keep moving. Don't look back. Demand more of yourself.

It was an artist eager to take their imagination out on a limb just for YOU to stand back and THINK about what you SEE.

Don't miss the wonders that are waiting to be scooped up, enjoyed and why not pass them on.
Keep the pace and smiles on your face.

Do you see the wonder?

Remember, while 'midst the hubbub of Art Shanties on the water slow down and reflect.

While you're on this journey across the icy lake take note, in a twinkling it'll be spring soon.

"I only went out for a walk, and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going on."
John Muir

Thanks for taking time to stop by and leave a comment.
Enjoy your day and your adventures.
Take good care and make more moments to remember.

Hello,

The art shanty project looks fun, what a great day. The butterfly bikes are cool. Take care, enjoy your day and week ahead.

I always thought ice shanties were just places to drink... I had an employee when in Michigan who used to spend a week ice fishing with the guys on a lake in MN--they would even have cable tv and Super Bowl parties, etc.
