Wishing everyone a Happy Earth Day and that you have sunshine and can celebrate it with gusto. Here in Minnesota we can't really celebrate earth day by planting any trees, shrubs or flowers during this wintry mix point in our weather.
I heard a rumor that winter has packed its bags but missed every train.

I've been dreaming of days from last summer, like this photo in Hastings, Minnesota.
Sometimes, too often, "We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all we need to make us really happy is something to be enthusiastic about."
Charles Kingsley
"Earth care, as it turns out, is really about self-care and other care. What we design today impacts how we live tomorrow. For better or for worse, it impacts far into upcoming generations."

and mighty Lake Superior
Different days, different captures.
The earth and its many gifts are so inspiring too!
"The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings."
Wendell Berry
"No matter what your level of ability,
you have more potential than you can ever develop in a lifetime."

Hello Karen,
I had a laugh over winter packing it's bags but always missing the train.
The weather is a little crazy, temps going from the 30's to the 80's. Love all your sweet and adorable furbabies and the turtles. The painting for the peace poster contest is awesome, congrats to the 11yr old artist. Beautiful views of the lighthouse and cliffs. We must take care of our earth. I enjoyed all your photos and the quotes. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and have a great new week! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Happy Belated Earth Day! I too laughed at winter missing the train.
I'd like to ignore the things that don't make me feel good. I need that posted on my wall. Thanks for the fine post for earth day, Karen.
This was excellent Karen! Thank you so much for the treatment
I love dogs and you've taken some neat photos. Love the turtles too. And the art is outstanding! Enjoy your week!
Lovely pictures. The dogs look so friendly and charming.
It looks like I've stumbled across a blogger from Minnesota. Me, too. Happy Spring!
Wendell Berry is a favorite author. Love the dog and the lighthouse photos.
